College Football Bowls and Playoffs

Mendoza's disabled mom will be pretty heart-warming red carpet moment on the Pittsburgh draft and the NFL will lap that **** up. They will probably find a way to cash in on it.🤣

steelers take him rd 1
Lol
I am kind of fearful of that actually.
There’s something about this kid Beck that makes me very concerned, and it’s not all just about how we performs on the football field. I think the kid has some personal issues…unfortunately for him.
Don’t want any parts of the young man.

I just think he is INT prone, other than that I think he has a quick release and some things to like.

Yeah, I can agree with that as far as his playing ability, but as mentioned, I think there’s something going on in his personal life that doesn’t equate to being successful after college football..
Not trying to be the Steeler nation message board psychologist, just my opinion on the kid.
Hope he has a great NFL career and things go well for him.

I thought IU would have won by at least 21. I told a buddy of mine this game would be over by half time.
The zebras made certain it was a close game. It was one of the most one sided officiated games I have ever seen, they did everything they could to keep Miami in the game.

absolutely! How was that hit to Mendoza NOT targeting or at the very least roughing the passer...and then they call it for Beck after the IU DL took a step before hitting him. Just two of many that the zebras ****** up on.

Missed that game last night.. did either QB look the part?

That game was a defensive showcase and chess match. The special teams blocked punt recovered for a TD by Indiana was the difference and the win sealing int thrown by Beck to seal the deal.

Great game overall.

Mendoza barely had any time. The signature play was his effort run in 4th and 5 for a TD where he laid out. His best passes were back shoulder throws. The Miami defense was all over Mendoza and the WRs. Beck i thought was having a much better game, but then he threw the int. The refs were not calling the blatant holds or PI on Miami at all. They also got away with a couple plays that could have been personal fouls. I don't normally complain about the refs, but it was petty bad.

I didn't. OSU held them to 13, PSU had them at 20 until the miracle drive at the end. Those were the two best D's they faced. Miami's D is outstanding.

As for IU and Cignetti, good for them, it was an amazing turnaround, but it is not sustainable. For one, CG is 64. Second, they had 47 players between the age of 22 and 25. I don't see them being able to maintain this portal heavy strategy as more teams get into the market and as the powers that be eventually put guardrails on the system.

Their kicker is 24 years old in his 5th year of college football on his 4th team. We need tweaks to prevent this kind of team shopping on a year by year basis.
