Colin Holb-a long snapper in the 6th ?now yinz have something legitimate to ***** at.

Can't say I like the pick at all...I'm sure there was another OLB or DE we could have reached on instead...

Tombert must have gotten a hold of Martavis' secret stash............

Greg Warren retires..wait maybe not

Leaking out slowly.. I'll get more to you but that's the buzz at the moment.

They couldn't have brought in three to four undrafted players to compete for a LS spot if that is the case?

There goes my "Greg Warren playing til he's 65 years old" stance.

Tenured vet who excelled at what he did

Apparently this kid was one of only two draftable long snappers in this years class. I assume with Greg Warren being 35 the Steelers decided to draft his replacement rather than bidding for his services in free agency...

Well perhaps they should also bring in the other as a undrafted............

Yes, and here's the truth. Most years no long snapper is drafted. Warren is older, so this means any priority free agent long snapper would love to try out of the Steelers.

We spent s 6th on a Long Snapper. Um, okay.

Years back we drafted Kendall Gammon in the 11th round, which today is a rookie free agent.

Will do my who I would have drafted thread on Monday

Colbert said they drafted the kid to.come in and compete. No mention of anything about Warren contemplating retirement. Said most college longsnappers didn't have the required size to compete at NFL level but this kid did.

he can really snap, he is a snappy snapper.

good thing we snapped him up where we did and was snappy about it. Because if you snap your fingers another team could snap in and snapsnap just like that he is gone.

I guess watching his highlights is enough to get an idea of how good he really is....

I'd be fine if this was a rookie free agent or 7th round pick, but better players were still on the board...

Well thank god we drafted a LS. What on earth would we have done otherwise?

.. oh you mean you can sign guys after the draft who weren't drafted? ..

You have to compete with the 31 other teams for those players.

Quick, name the last five Steelers 6th round picks and their current employer... and then consider if you should really be disappointed or not.

Antonio Brown was a 6th round pick

just sayin

I don't care what anyone else thinks, but to me it's an embarrassment to your organization if you draft a long snapper with a draft pick and try to argue its merits with a straight face. Might actually be worse that trading up in the 4th round for a punter.....

And these little decisions are why I hate Tombert sometimes on draft days. For all the good they sometimes do, they just are so frivolous and wasteful with picks sometimes it just drives me crazy.

Not sure we need to see who you wild have drafted. Since it doesn't matter anyway...
