Colbert - Steelers tried to trade back up on day three.

Tried to trade back up in the draft with future picks from next year, called several teams but no one willing.

Said there were at least 50 guys at the start of the 4th round they thought could make this team.

On trading back in the first round....

We weren't going to do it because we were going to take Artie Burns right then and there. Trading away from Artie Burns was never even an issue.

I think heads might have exploded around here if William Jackson III wasn't taken by the Bengals. If both he and Burns were available I'm not 100% sure Jackson would of been the pick myself.
 
Teams always say things like, "He was our guy." Or "We had him rated No. 1 on our board."

Sometimes it's true. But other times it's their way of saying, "Yeah, we missed out on (so and so)...... But we really like the guy we took."
