I agree they do curious why they didn’t at least attempt the FG on fourth down for the lead,a head scratcher to me
Hard to judge without knowing their kickers range. McCrane has the weakest leg I've ever seen in the NFL and he barely made that 47-yard field goal. Maybe a similar situation for the Browns?
Baker Mayfield had nothing to do with it. It's the coach who sent in the plays and had him slinging low percentage passes downfield when a run along with a couple of dink and dunks gets you the 6-10 yards needed to at least get you into outer FG range, then if you get the first down you take it from there and try for a few extra yards. The Browns never put themselves in a position to win after they reached the 39 yard line. Beat the Raiders and you're not dealing with this nonsense.
Get real. They let them drive all of the way down the field and then mail it in. Coaches who are going to be on the open market when the new coach comes in will mail it in so the new regime can get a better draft pick. That's just dumb.
