By CJ Lester SteelerNation.com   Ahhhhhh, finally, we made it! Happy Draft Day to all! Like you, I am very excited to see what the Pittsburgh Steelers decide to with their six draft picks the next three days. It is always exciting adding new talent to your favorite NFL team, especially watching the draft and […]

5 it wfills immediate needs likely gets 2 day 2 starts and quality depth

2 JK Dobbins RB
3 Troy Dye LB
4 Tyler Biadasz C/G
4B Albert Okwuegbunam TE
6 Antonio Gandy-Golden WR
7 Trey Adams -T

DT Raekwan Davis (Bermuda would nut himself from a flaccid state)
TE Alex Okwhatever
WR Lynn Bowden
OL Tyler Biadasz
OL Ben Bredeson
WR Jauan Jennings (He's a gamer - despite the turnout at the combine. Tanner Muse was my close second choice)
CB AJ Green

Little high for Bowden what are you liking with him? his production looked iffy...

2.49 Tee Higgins, WR, Clemson
Without a quality OL on the board, I want the best playmaker and I think Higgins is that guy. Productive at a school that pumps out talented receivers to the NFL.

3.102 Alex Highsmith, OLB, Charlotte
We have no depth at OLB and could lose Dupree after the season. Even if Dupree signs a long-term deal next year, having three good pass rushers would be huge for this defense.

4.124 John Simpson, OG, Clemson
I did not expect to see this name here. Big, powerful guard is exactly what this offense needs.

4.135 Albert Okwuegbunam, TE, Missouri
The Steelers too often take slow, unathletic tight ends with little upside late in the draft. That isn't the case here.

6.198 Alex Taylor, OT, South Carolina State
Tall tackle, but the Steelers have a couple of those guys on the roster. He's a small school sleeper with upside.

7.232 Tyler Clark, IDL, Georgia
Did not get a combine invite so will come into the league with a chip on his shoulder. Looking for late-round developmental depth for the DL.
