Are they for real or fools gold?

Do we even have to ask? Of course they're fools gold. They're the new Chargers from the 2000s, except with an inferior QB. Media darlings, regular season beasts, but nobody is scared to play them when it matters. There is absolutely no way they make noise in the playoffs, if they even get there.

They've won the division twice in the Tomlin era, and lost in the first round both times. You watch them play and they still make A LOT of mistakes. IF the Ravens didn't play the Steelers NE Defense against AJ Green, the Bengals lose that game. They couldn't run the ball, Dalton was struggling throwing to anyone other than Green (half his completions were to Green, nearly half of his attempts were to Green). Cinci's D struggled as well, 0 sacks facing a pretty once dimensional offense. Nothing Cinci has done this year has shown that they are for real.

I have a hunch they will be good enough. They have a solid defense and a reasonably good offense. They beat Oakland in Oakland, something we have been unable to do, and beat Baltimore at home, which we failed to do last year. 4 - 6 weeks without Ben will likely have us below .500 when we meet for the first time on 1 November. If Ben isn't back by then, our division hopes are up in smoke.

There sure is a lot of Fools Gold around these parts. Coach, get a thesaurus.

Up next for the Bengals is a home gave vs. the Chiefs. They could very well be 4-0. If you ask me, I do not see them as a top 8 team in the NFL. But neither are we.

The Captain obvious point is this. If lose vs the Ravens and they beat the Chiefs, we are going to need to sweep them this season.

Cincy can go undefeated and be the number 1 seed in the AFC and I still wont believe they can win a playoff game until I actually see it.

They are better than us without Ben, much better.

They'd be better than Green Bay without Rodgers, Better than Seattle without Wilson, Better than Atlanta without Matty Ice.....those pretenders don't strike an ounce of fear in me. Because we know when the pressure is turned up for postseason, them ******* don't ever show up. When Ben returns, we whip they *****....mark it. Come playoffs, we'll kill em (still haven't forgot what they did to Le'Veons knee last season).

I wanna notch 40+ on theyre ***** each game we play em. They aren't prime time ready. I see them as no threat. We reclaimed what was rightfully ours (divisional champions) last year.

I need them to follow the same ol bungles script. My new boss is in Cinci. Ive worked for him just over a year. Yesterday's weekly call started with this "I dont want to hear about Ben. I have zero sympathy.....". I need the bengals to crash and burn.

I hope the Lewis and Dalton combination for the Bungles lasts for many years to come.

Fools gold as long as they are lead by the red ruffle. Dalton is like what Odonnell was to the steelers of the 90s, minus the killer Blithzburgh D and the good running game and the great coach and . . .on . . .and . . .on . . .

I don't think totally fools gold, but close. Currently, they can win the division. If we can make the playoffs, despite the absentee of BEN, then we will up seat them and continue on towards another SB win.

Salute the nation

You should point out to him that Ben has said himself that he doesn't think the play was dirty. Then ask him why he is still crying over what is essentially the same play as Van Olehoffens hit (legal at the time, certainly not dirty) on Carson palmer ALMOST 10 YEARS AGO! Maybe suggest a better kind of pantie he can wear . . .

The bengals are a decent regular season team. Once post season play rolls around, they happen to come up short every time

I love the Lewis and Dalton combination! Lewis is 0-6 in playoff games. Dalton's not good enough to be the main reason why a team wins a big game, but he's also a bit to good to cut bait on.

May this marriage last a few more years!

They're the Bungles right? They will manage to screw it up with Dalton and Marvin Lewis.

I think this is their year. Both Offense and Defense are in the top 6 in the NFL and Dalton is playing lights out. Won't surprise me a bit to see them in the Superbowl this year.

What if Andy files for divorce?.....OR!!!...or Marvin Lewis cheats on Andy mid season. Spotted with new partner McCarron!

Gonna disagree. I cannot see the Bengals winning it all

once injuries begin to happen as with every team we will see them for what they are, A 1NDONE TEAM....nobody to be reckon with except in the regular season....
