Chuks dropped LBs

They were high on Hawkins before his injury. So a solid three way battle to see who starts.

Why do you hope chuks proves to be the best RT? Wouldn't you rather just have the best RT of the bunch?

I think he was trying to say it gives us more depth. But whoever starts, we have good depth behind them. Whatever combination of the three.................

Actually I was thinkin' we might have some trade bait at RT. Seldom have we seen this many players competing for one position that were this close to evenly matched.

RT 71 Feiler, Matt SF15 65 Hawkins, Jerald 16/4 72 Banner, Zach SF18

LT 78 VILLANUEVA, ALEJANDRO SF14 76 Okorafor, Chukwuma 18/3

The oft injured Hawkins could be the wild card this camp and Banner is the unknown as far as I know.

One of these guys and Burns could be a couple hold cards for a later gap fill or injury replacement at another position.
But Burns gotta go before camp or pay him $800K, I doubt he makes the final 53

Same scenario over on the other side at CB

LCB 23 HADEN, JOE SF17 31 Layne, Justin 19/3 28 Hilton, Mike SF16 Locke III, PJ CF19

RCB 22 Nelson, Steven U/KC 25 Burns, Artie 16/1 20 Sutton, Cameron 17/3 38 Kelly, Kameron SF19 24

Could be a fun camp

Oops...look at what Ourlads has at MLB

LILB 26 Barron, Mark CC/LAR 54 Gilbert III, Ulysees 19/6 92 Adeniyi, Olasunkanmi CF18 46 Scales, Tegray SF19

RILB 55 Bush Jr., Devin 19/1 98 Williams, Vince 13/6 44 Matakevich, Tyler 16/7 42 Smith, Sutton 19/6

There's that Sutton Smith again...that boy is like flies on ****...he's everywhere.

I think that went without saying, I just think Chuks has the highest upside so if he does make it as the starter, it will probably mean we have the best player of our possible options. He
has a higher ceiling than Feiler, or at least that is the consensus. He is said to have more athleticism and quicker feet.

It sure feels good to have depth at OT. Now OLB, TE and S another story. It goes without saying no equal QB to Ben.

The winner of the three man competition will be the best player of the three options. Upside doesn't mean **** until you beat out the man across from you. And not sure why Hawkins is so easily dismissed. He will be in the hunt.

Again, of course whoever plays best will be the starter. But upside does matter if a player has a higher one AND achieves it. It means we get a better player on the field.

In other words, if Big Red ends up being our starting ILB, it wouldn't be ideal because he is what he is and ever will be: a plugger who is small and slow. He can only get so good.

As far as Hawkins, I'm not forgetting him. If he ends up being the best player come Sept., then he will be our starter.

Big red is a career backup so perhaps not the best comparison. None of the three competitors get that designation yet. Fans for years wished Ward and Foster replaced but they keep chugging along. With others rotating in arguably with higher perceived upsides. I don't think it will be an easy Feiler replace. But that is the beauty of that three headed monster. Iron sharpening iron.

So your goal is to ruin football threads and diminish the value and entertainment of the board? Lot's of honor in doing that, huh?

Honor? On a message board? You do you mate and that is cool by me, but he did have have a good point. Titos are the bee's knees. :becky:

so the Steelers OL has gotten thinner also?
Yep exactly Browns brought in vet experience, Steelers didn't. Two years in a row Steelers lost experienced players. But it is the Browns with the crack in their O-line armor.

C'mon slash, you got Hawkins excited reading your post about him being in the hunt and he sprained both his eyelids. Now he's off to season ending IR again and we didn't even get to camp.

A sense of humor goes a long way around here, and not taking yourself too seriously.

Nothing that is said here is going to change a thing in the real world, it's only for your entertainment pleasure.

Oh, I know, Zona, I only said that because the same ones complaining about threads that aren't "good" about football then turn around and post complete inane nonsense that obviously has no football content at all.

It sure seems hypocritical. Truth be told, I liked the old days where almost nothing was moderated. There were some hilarious flame wars. You don't see any boards like that much anymore.
