829 all-purpose yards (379 rushing, 210 receiving, and 240 returning) to go along with five total touchdowns. Perhaps the best single-game effort by a college player I ever saw.

I used to think Christian McCaffrey was going to be a slightly better version of Danny Woodhead in the NFL. Now I think he's a 1st round pick if he runs under a 4.5 as the speed and moves are for a Running back are good on film.

Such as triple-threat weapon running, receiving and returning kicks is rare.

Your numbers are wrong.

He had 18-172 Rushing, 4-105 Rec, 1-28 KR, 1-63 PR

Those stats are for his 2 games played at the Rose Bowl this season. He is still amazing though.

Outside of them both being white I don't see any similarity between McCaffrey and Woodhead.

That was just the beginning of a record-setting day for the Heisman runner-up. Tailback Christian McCaffrey scored a 75-yard touchdown on the first touch of the game. In the Pac-12 title game and the Rose Bowl, the sophomore racked up 829 all-purpose yards (379 rushing, 210 receiving, and 240 returning) to go along with five total touchdowns.

Ah, it was a combiantion of two games. My bad.

They are both quick RB's that can run and catch. But I said I used to think he was a slightly better version of Woodhead, now I see McCaffrey as a feature back.

Pass, we need to draft another linebacker in the first round...lol

I was blown away watching the kid. I have to admit, I don't make a point of watching Stanford, but regret I didn't see more of him. ESPN/ABC made quite an issue of pointing out his liniage. Guy comes from some serious athletic stock. Has a brother playing at Duke and younger ones in HS (Colorado).

All I kept mumbling to myself is the Bellichek is gonna find a way to get this guy, and then I will have to hate him.

Bell is quick and can catch. But McCaffrey is tall and powerful while Woodhead is short and quick. I see nothing they are similar in other than skin color.

That's racist! ;)

Bell lacks breakaway speed, though. He's quick, but I think he ran about a 4.6 at the combine. Not enough to outrun DB's in a long foot race, but McCafrey proved to me most DB's aren't going to catch him from behind as his speed was pretty much even with theirs.

No more on Danny Woodcock unless we are talking about the infamous moment on NFL network.

Christian McCaffrey is much closer to Le'Veon Bell than he is to Danny Woodhead

Percy Harvin without the weed and headaches? Maybe a dash of Eric Metcalf?

Will be interesting to see if he has a Darren Sproles type impact in the NFL. That's a pretty good comparison IMO.

McCaffrey is listed at 6'1" 201lbs.. How does he compare to Sproles?

Didn't realize he was 6-1. He looks smaller on tv. Interesting. Still think he's that type of player that can return kicks, line up at receiver and play RB and be very good at all 3 like Sproles.

"For some reason or another, you sounded taller on the radio..."

McCaffrey should have won the heisman. He had a much better season than Henry.

He(6-0, 201) looked like he was 5-8 standing next to Henry and the Clemson QB at the Heisman ceremony. That Henry (6-3, 245) must be huge.

( I am hoping Andtrsjdrwejosh will look up all the stats on the interwebz for me)
