We should do everything we can to get this guy. I see visions of Rod Woodson.

Bonus: He loves Tomlin!
He relates to Tomlin.... as we all do...in a different way though.

Mike Tomlin is winning the combine. Superstar CB Christian Gonzalez is yet another DB to say his favorite coach to talk to here has been the #Steelers head man. He called Tomlin “real” and “relatable” - and said he called his dad to say he’s even cooler than they thought.

Do you guys think he is better than Joey Porter Jr?
I am clueless with college players. Would love to hear what you guys think.

I just don't think he is available at 17. I would take him over Peezy jr. Yes. He looks to have good range and improved on his INT tally. Not my favorite CB but I think his ceiling is higher than Porter's.

Based on mocks and rankings it’s more likely than not he’ll be gone, but possible that he will be available. Only knock on him is that he only has one year of high productivity.

My favorite thing about Gonzalez is how smooth and natural he looks in his movement, it looks easy for him to back pedal and flip his hips to turn with receivers. No hip tightness, just effortless for him.

Tomlin really would be a better college coach in terms of contending for championships. Three or four years would be about the natural cycle for drinking his Kool-Aid and word salad. He's built for the 18 to 22 year olds.

I think most of the adults in the room with a critical eye as fans started to tire of him after about four or five years.

Gonzalez is CB1 IMO, then Witherspoon. After that, it's a bit of a toss up. Porter had a solid 40 time and his wingspan is insane. Banks is having a great combine as well.
I think Porter is a number 2 corner. Might be only a man corner with zone being a weakness. I am hoping their target range is 32. Thinking the value should be better elsewhere at 17.

My “fear” is that Porter Jr gets the nod because of his daddy’s reputation. I don’t give a **** that Coach Tomlin has known the kid since he was a little yellow pooping moron. That right there could taint Tomlin’s eye.

Salute the nation

What I read is "blah blah blah. Mike Tomlin says I can have ice cream and play foosball blah blah blah."

You forgot the part about Tomlin telling him “not to worry about having to put the pudding back in the box”.

Anyone read the very last two sentences of that article? Basically it said, that while the players "love" Tomlin so much, it hasn't transitioned to success on the field in terms of playoff success! Tomlin is one smooth talking SOB and a very likeable guy personally. Hell, I would love to hang out with him for a night sipping a good bourbon, but he sucks and has too many deficiencies to my Steeler's HC anymore - I want his *** gone!!! He has been given too much leeway here in the 'Burgh. He would have been fired in 2014 by any other team!

It's also funny how we hear so much about players love for Tomlin, and yet multiple players forced their way out in-season likely because the role did not match the rhetoric.
