Was this just a fluke or a sign of what he's capable of?

PUT HIM IN THE HALL OF FAME NOW!

He's on pace to beat the Jarvis "5 sacks in 4 years" record

5 sacks in 4 years would be okay if your nose tackle.

Chickillo is doing OK, his 1 1/2 sacks makes him a star on this defense, and at least he's isn't hurt every other game - we need that in a LB

I hope he gets better and continues to grow. Though we may have just seen his last great game yesterday. ;)

I tell you no coincidence to Miami players are showing positives. That head coach was holding that team back more than ours is.
Both Chickillo and Burns have done ok, and look forward to their continue growth.

I saw they were still using that arm against his throat technique to block him..........

chichillo...pronounced CHI-KA-YO...think of quasdella from taco bell lol

he looked bigger this game. he always looked like this skinny, tiny, white guy playing out of position but for reason he looked somewhat bigger yesterday....and yes he did have a decent game.

Jarvis Jones was decent too. lbers played good yesterday....not earth shattering reminding us of the woodley, Harrison days but was good enough.

Jones has been making some violent tackles lately.

If it was Davis you would have only mentioned the facemask penalty.

I settled on Davis' Forrest Gump-like sprint, forgetting to block his man. The result was a blocked punt and a touchdown.

On Chickillo, he seems to be getting more comfortable in there. He moves well, offers some pass rush, and has high effort.

Remember he hardly played as a rookie at all. In many ways this is still his rookie season.

Jarvis looked fast yesterday. He closed well on ball carriers, and got push in pass rush.

Cope,

While Jones is not a pass rusher at all, I think he has learned to stop trying to win with a bull rush. That was not working!

Instead, he sort of backs off a bit, trying to locate the football before engaging. More the way a middle line backer would play. As a result, he has been more active in run support. However, if he tries to play this way and get a called wide run his way, I think he'll be meat as he's looking too much inside. We'll see.

I still think he's a zero in coverage, and a pretty much a non-factor vs the pass. But yeah, he's playing his best ball for what's its worth.

he was drafted to be a pass rusher

I still prefer LBers that can pressure the QB, that is a winning formula

I honestly don't think Chickillo is good enough to be a regular NFL player. He's slow and tentative. Sorry, I'm just not seeing it.

I think there is some potential there...bloodline is there....making a few splash plays.....

just a wait and see.... probably not a star but maybe a solid player perhaps?

Slow? He's faster than Jones and Harrison for sure. Tentative, yes and no, but that can get better with additional reps. I have seen enough flash ability so settle on him being a 2nd or decent 3rd OLB/pass rusher.

Right now, not one of our OLB's is good enough to be a Steeler regular. No disrespect to Harrison, he was a beast in his prime and post-prime until about age 37. He's 38 now.

Yes the Dupree injury did this problematic unit no favors

and still their best linebacker statistically.

I believe at this point he's leading the team in sacks. If not he's close.

This defense is gawd-awful.

That's another thread, but yes you're correct.

At least he showed some emotion. After listening to some sad interviews today, I doubt anyone on this team knew we were playing the Ravens that at one time we hated. What the heck is going on with the Steelers????
