When Trump got Maduro, he mentioned the "discombobulator" which could disable or kill opposing forces by inducing heart attacks. LG had talked about Cuba being next and argued for total war in Gaza akin to the decision to drop the A-bombs on Japan. We along with the Israelis just killed a bunch of Iranian leadership and kidnapped Maduro. So, yes, I wonder if this could have been blowback? Or maybe he really did just simply have an aortic dissection when he returned. But past is prologue many times, so I account for the possibility which maybe to you seems like "believing every conspiracy theory" but no, it's just accounting for human nature in the fallen world we live in.

Trump might want to unleash the “discombobulator” on Iran because nothing else his strategy is doing is working.

Unless he's just truly that principled and willing to throw aside any winds at R's backs for the midterms or even damage control to do what he believes is right on Iran, one has to wonder what the end game or strategy is other than the equivalent of ongoing No Fly Zone cat and mouse like with Iraq from '91-'03. He's not going to be able to make them capitulate this way and he can't seem to declare victory and go home. Definitely seems caught in a trap and can't walk out which may be what the Israelis wanted and they now also have effective merger with US forces. Joined at the hip where it suits them one way of course.

The biggest issue I have with the Iran debacle is that we are operating on Israel’s intelligence, therefore serving Israeli interests. Trump got snookered into this, and the only way out is to put boots on the ground and fight. I still honestly believe Trump thought we’d bomb them a few times and they’d just roll over and give up. He has to realize that this regime isn’t going to give up unless you go in there and kill every single one of them, and you’re not going to do it with bombing alone. Sure, they are blowing some stuff up, but Iran is still lobbing missiles and drones at us and just about every other country in that region, and now Soldiers are starting to come home in body bags. Don’t know that I’d call it a quagmire at this point, but it could certainly turn into one before long.

The comments from all, including Trump and media, have been subjective since this started. Is there any objective stats anywhere?

The big issue to me is he should have gotten the local countries in an alliance against Iran.
 
The rationale from Rubio was that Israel was going to do it anyway and they basically had us by the balls which absolutely no other country could pull off.
 
Other than boots on the ground or arming the citizens of Iran with everything they could possibly need I don't see a good outcome.
The muzzies aren't going to abide by any treaty, their tenants tell them that it's their "moral" obligation to take over the world.

His threat was common sense and truth. The left finds those two things intolerable.

Not that I’m aware of. Our biggest losses, aside from the soldiers of course, have been the equipment stored in APS 5 on Camp Arifjan. Place was destroyed.

Each nation has been hit, mostly infrastructure. They’ve shot down the vast majority of the missiles, but drones are still a problem. That’s as much as I know.

So one big loss Arifjan, then relatively small losses on equipment, defense and infrastructure.

And now, some loss of life.

What of the losses in Iran?

We are almost at the point of the US controlling Hormuz and occupying Kharg.

Im not sure that I understand how the US is losing this, especially with the economic control of the oil transportation and the removal of the Brits from underwriting the Iran to China oil trade.

Could Russia and/or China intervene soon? Yes, but until that happens, the US seems in control of this admittedly messy situation.

The US should not have left Bagram in Afghanistan and should have a new airbase now in the Gulf, to oversee Iran, evicted the Shia and then evolve the Sunni relationships.

It's beyond amazing how badly Jimmy Earl fuucked things up.
