Of course this was political.
It's the political left who have described every differing opinion as "hate". If you think affirmative action is discriminatory and wrong, it's because you hate black and brown people. If you think children shouldn't be pumped full of hormones and have healthy body parts lopped off, or little girls shouldn't have to undress in front of grown men, or that obviously it's not fair for a 6'4" man to compete against women, it's because you hate trans people. If you think killing unborn babies is wrong or that marriage and family is something women should aspire to, it's because you hate women.
When you describe everyone who disagrees with you on something as "hateful", you inspire violence. The shooter's own words were that Kirk was spreading hate. Kirk opened up his mic and politely debated countless people who disagreed with him. He never called them names or condemned them, just expressed his disagreement using facts and logic. Describing that as hate justified his murder to this young man. The left is partially responsible for this. And they continue to say that he was hateful and spreading hate and full of hate. They justify this murder day after day. Even the ones who say "He didn't deserve to die, but..." are justifying his murder. They share in the blame for the next person who is harmed.
And by the way I hate that President Trump said he hates his opponents too. That just might inspire some wacko to off one of his political enemies. He needs to take the temperature down too.
