That's what Bwady said this morning on his weekly radio show. He said they looked confused and couldn't believe it when Gronk was left uncovered. Chaos! When do you remember a Steeler defense described as such?

Young players at many positions + New schemes and responsibilities at most every position + New DC = early chaos.... this was to be expected

Not sure I see the big deal. Pretty sure our defense has turned in way shittier performances than this in the past.

Whaaaaatttttt young guys having growing pains?? Unbelievable.

Our defense looked like hot garbage on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in the 80's; but, I guess we can forget about that...

Said it before say it again the offense did not hold up it's end of the bargain to me

The Pats averaged 29.3pts and 366 yards per game in 2014

Despite our growing pains on defense, we held them to 28 points and 361 yards Thursday night.

Chaos you say?
I call it logic...

But we can't talk about points left on the field - it's hearsay...

The answer is: the 2nd half of game #1 last year. You know, when the Browns went into a hurry-up and scored 24 points on us.

So, we have a pattern here then. Essentially the same players minus Ike and Troy, a carbon copy of Lebeau defensive coordinator and we get the same as the opening game last year. I guess then we can expect this next year on opening day. Some things never change.

I have no problem with Brady dissing them, any motivation is welcomed as they figure things out.............

I wish he would have said something about the O's red-zone deficiencies too. lol

You sir are a racist. Logic is not allowed in these parts

Really young players ? Gay is 30, Wil Allen is 33 and Mitchell is 28, our secondary was old and dumb.

Timmons is 29, Harrison is 37, Jarvis Jones is almost 26, C. Allen is almost 27, and McClendon is almost 30. This in a league where the average age is around 25.

But facts aren't welcomed around these parts.

Something in the neighborhood of 14 missed tackles, 7 defenders that record zero passes defended and an apposing QB that completes what...18 or 19 straight passes and we say

These boys have been practicing this stuff together for the better part of the summer and have had 5 practice games to figure it out.

I don't so much blame it all on the players, young or not. Most of them have been playing this game since grade school so they pretty much should have the concepts down by the time they start collecting checks for doing it. I put the bulk of this clusterfuck on the coaches, they are the ones that are responsible for taking the talent they have and blending it into a cohesive unit. They are the ones that are responsible for the plan to outmaneuver and outguess the other team and to communicate that game plan to their players in a way they can understand and be in a position to properly implement it.

Dint happen, not even close.

Did they ask him why the he wasn't able to score more than a paltry 28 points?

He missed 2 wide open WRs. That's why. Tom isn't perfect but 28 PPG will win you a lot of games. It will also make the other team one of the worst defenses in the league.

Loved watching back then...Cheered my *** off, disappointed at times and excited *** **** others...was fun. Bubby busting his *** week in and week out. So was the D. Actually played as a team. good times...even if they didn't win it all every year.

C'mon Vader, you are smarter than that!
Ben missed 2 easy TDs too, one overthrow to Wheaton (wide open TD) and the other to the long toed DHB.

The last time we played these idiots (with all 11 defenders on the field AND at LEAST an attempt to cover Gronk) they scored 55 pts on us!

NOBODY expected us to go up there and win (who has been paying attention the last 10 years) AND most of us expected to see some confusion in our defensive backfield, HOWEVER, leaving 2 receivers TOTALLY uncovered and having 10 defenders on the field doesn't even happen in Pee Wee League ball very often. THAT was CHAOS!

Actually Ben missed three. He had brown wide open by himself but instead took the shovel pass to Heath.

Perhaps you need to re-read what I wrote and what I responded too. She wanted to ask why Brady only scored 28 points. I answer that. If you look at the overall game there are always misses. I can't count how many times Ben has missed open WRs. Ben is a great QB but he isn't a quick read and he is erratic at times. So that is going to come with the territory.

Also most on here want it both ways. They say the pats**** suck on defense and that Brady isn't that good. Then why they get beat it's "well we did lose to the SB champs and we didn't lose but by 7 points). Either they suck or they don't. I don't think they are that good. They've lost a lot on defense and I can't even name you their starting WRs outside of that amendola character. It's basically Gronk and Brady.

Thing is a lot of times people think New England will turn out to not be that good, they end up still having good years.

Especially at home.

So hard to tell which direction the Steelers are going in after 1 game.

But I think when Bryant and Bell are back the O is going to be solid......

On D we will see.

Bwady should have said we looked like ****....but, he likes the passive steel curtain, so he didn't
