Caushaud Lyons - the small-school DE deemed worthy of a 53-man roster spot

Typical transactions that happen across the league this time of year....

Every team mainly trying to fill some temporary gaps in their roster, and at the same time hoping that they get lucky with a "unpolished" starter in the process..

Grant and/or Chick will be resigned.....probably Chick, I think someone will fill one of their "roster gaps" with a 4th rounder from a National Championship team that has shown some coverage skills in a NFL camp..
 
He reminds me a lot of N Williams, drafted last year sent to ps then picked up by Chiefs...only it is reported that Lyons has a questionable motor on the field (def not in the weight room). Great pick up if we got a very raw, low motor guy that won't sniff the field. At least it gave us an excuse to cut a 4th rounder. Brilliant!!!

That being said, I'd love to eat crow here but it looks like standard Tombert roster mismanagement to me. Welcome to the Stillers kid
 
Almost forgot to add that this is a talent who couldn't crack the roster of last years worst team
