He has made his money and now has that injury hanging over his head.

Perhaps they can sign him for a little less....................
 
I see this injury having a big impact on his future earnings. I always felt RF was the weak link and they didn't negotiate a contract with him this year so that is telling us something there. The STEEELERS are a fair and just team but they also know the buisness side of what works for them. If Foster is signed on the cheap then OK but I don't see a "BIG" contract for him in the near future.

Matt Slauson 1yr 2.5m would be a good comp. For age and comparison.
 
They have to pay Finney or lose him. That's the reason they will likely have to let Foster go and not the injury.

Agreed. IMO Finney is more mobile. Foster a bit harder to move. If Finney is even on ability, Foster's chances for a new contract go down, as Finney is younger and cheaper. Smart teams don't pay a lot of money to back up guards.
