Can we all finally agree that Tomlin needs to be canned?

We had teams that should've been.
Too many missed opportunities.

Seriously, how many disappointing finishes before the Rooneys realize that he can't do it? ******* clown doesn't have control of the players and adds nothing as an in-game coach.

Just an epic waste of talent.

Just glad Belichick doesn't have this talent: Ben, AB, P Bowl Offensive Line, Juju, etc. Maybe 5 Patriots could even start for the Steelers. It's the mediocrity of Mike Tomlin that has killed this team and franchise -- and it's not going to change with him in charge.

Nobody has done less with more than Mike Tomlin. Enough is enough.

I would like to see a change. I think we have reached the ceiling with Tomlin. Guy has been here 12 years, and the team isn't really any better, some would argue worse and I think they have simply plateaued. I think this is as good as it is going to get. Yes, he won a Super Bowl, but the team has declined in some manner or another ever since. I will give him that the offense is a Ferrari, but he has a Pinto for special teams and a Yugo for a defense. His strategy is like an AMC Gremlin.

I think at this stage, you have to try something new. Hire ST and D coordinators and leave them alone to do their work, or move the whole coaching staff. Something has to change. I can't see where anything gets better next year if the status quo remains.
 
Mike Tomlin helps the other team win. If he doesn’t go soon Art Rooney is our problem.

at worst, Tomlin will fire Butler.

Steelers aren't making the playoffs. This is all a Tomlin coached team can do. We did this last year. Every year is the same.
 
I will give you the top two reasons why not everyone will ever agree with getting rid of Tomlin. When you see apologists they fall under number 1 or 2.

1. Some fans are simply happy with non losing seasons. They buff that participation trophy up, and that ****** is shiny. Shiny happy people !

2. Some fans of the same skin color, would want him even if the Steelers turned into the clowns of old. You know the same country that is filled with racists that pretend they aren't. I see them clearly. Talking about color constantly, etc. I always wonder if there was a White Entertainment TV , a whitish TV show, a Miss White pageants how that would be perceived. You know these fans though, they will be the one who blames Ben instead of Tommy Tom, everything but avoiding blaming someone of their own skin color. They can mask it, but I see them just for how they are.

I don't care if you are black, white, purple, yellow, orange, I just want a coach that puts the team in position to succeed with a elite QB a elite WR, a emerging star in Watt, a top tier CB in Haden. And a plethera of talent on a O, in a league that is built for offenses.

Tomlin's in game X and O decision making is horrid.

And it isn't like I see him as overall stupid. I work in a field I see these intelligent *** DR's not be able to answer simplistic *** questions.

You can be highly intelligent in one area and be dumb as a box of rocks in others.

Tomlin is probably book smart I have seen some of his background.

He just isn't in game decision making smart.

Which is why I believe he needs to go.

And not to forget his impact on D, that is one of the most dumbest D schemes I have ever seen. You can not win games that matter with it. And you need someone who knows when to play zone and knows when not to.

The Steeler minority owners went to Rooney after last seasons loss to the Jags and wanted Tomlin out. Rooney will not only hear that again but now the press and even more fans are ready to bail. MT might have reached the tipping point with that effort yesterday.

The Rooneys got what they deserved.

Steelers organization deserves this loss for keeping a complete moron like Tomlin around and getting cheap and not paying the talent that made this team once great.
Feel bad for Ben. Maybe if they paid leveon Boswells money we would have at least 1 or 2 more wins without Boswell alone.

Disagree with paying Bell Boswells money as that is hindsight. But there is no denying the rest of your post. We need more up to date thinking and procedures from our brass. This is all a huge shame-all of these wasted opportunities with this roster.

Disagree...the Steeler Way has paid much dividends to the Steeler Nation, not just for a few seasons, but for decades..

They do a good job paying their own. But do a ****** job of upgrading talent when needed. Their cast off mentality of bringing players in nobody else wanted in free agency. Doesn't adequately fix deficiencies. It is a band aid. And their drafts are more hit and miss lately which doesn't help in the grand scheme either.

What I blame the Rooney's for is being happy with mediocrity because the money is continuously flowing into their pockets.

There is a high standard that isn't being lived up to.

We have the NFL's number one passing yardage leader and 2 WRs with 100+ catching seasons. But yet are on the outside looking in regarding the playoffs.

Unacceptable.
 
Myself, I see the STEELERS as a business and a business needs to be profitable or it won't be around long. Your staement of keeping LeMEon is purely a hind-site statement and not factual that the absolute same thing wouldn't have happened with him. I would venture to say worse would have happened as the locker room would be more divided. **** LeMEon.

Secondly had the any one of these four games outcome been different we wouldn't be here worried, game 1 Browns / Denver / chargers / raiders. My question is you have no mention of the HEAD COACH whom has been present here for years durring the same built up frustration of results or the "CONSTANT" within the picture. A coach who could and has run the wheels off of every r
RB he has had. A coach who continuously trots out 2 DL sets even though it is easily seen they don't work consistantly against the situation he engages them into.

I understand your frustration and YES the Rooney deserve all they are getting, criticizing wise. This franchise has been and will be run this way as long as a Rooney is in charge so here again, why expect change???

Tomlin will be wearing a browns jersey under his coat on Sunday cause if we don’t goto the playoffs and make some noise, he will hear those same rumblings.

To me it’s not about the win loss record that some will toss in front of you every time you criticize him. No, it’s the total underachieving with top talent. This team has a QB throwing for 5k yards, two receivers with over 100 receptions and each over 1100 yards, a running back who easily runs for 1100 yards if not missing three games, a top OL, a TE that could end up with 50 receptions and 500 yards.
A solid DL, a young stud LBer, and I think an improving Bud Dupree and still a quality CB in Haden and all we can muster is maybe 9 wins and no playoffs.
This team was not ready to play in September and were tied by a Hugh Jackson team quarterbacked by Tyrod ******* Taylor. They lost to a bad Denver team, a terrible Raider team depleted of their star players, and a fraud of s Charger team blowing a 16 point lead. Lost to a Ravens team at home when the game was tied at the half, a Chiefs team that they were totally unprepared for and at home as well and finally to the Saints who they had on the ropes enter Tomlin.
Point being they lack killer instinct to put teams away and that’s indicative of the coach. The talent is there but the coach has no clue how to use it. Never more apparent than defense where the scheme is forced on these players making them look worse than they actually are.
Nothing changes until Tomlin is gone.

The Steelers won't change. That is why this same thing happens every year. I'm not surprised by losing, it's become the standard under Mike Tomlin.
But yes, this season wouldn't be over with leveon on the field instead of Ridley Samuels and yes Conner.
