So far the answer is no.

The Steelers have lost every game this year where we failed to generate a turnover.

This to me is alarming and somewhat puzzling as the talent on the team is better than most teams in the NFL

Actually the answer is yes. They lose games when they turn the ball over to the other team!

I've said this many times. The defense is built on this one issue. They may make the playoffs but relying on TOs and TOs only is going to make it impossible for them to be a true contender. It's a smoke and mirrors defense.

The only way this defense is productive is with splash plays like sacks and turnovers. We don't have the secondary talent to simply line up and get other teams off the field playing coverage. We have to be the aggressors, rush the passer with reckless abandon, and hope for mistakes. Our offense is silly talented. The other side of the ball, not so much

Can the Steelers win without producing turnovers? Yes, if we don't turn it over.

Also, we have to be more balanced. Do you realize that we only rushed the ball 8 times (RB). We had 14 rushes total, but 5 of those were scrambles from Ben, and 1 was an end around from Martavis.

And we have to limit poor coaching decisions.

They lost to the Bengals and had turnovers. Dalton threw one in the endzone and i think there was a fumble to. can't remember for sure.

Prior to this season what did yall ***** about ? NOT PRODUCING TURNOVERS............

TOs are fine but they can't be the entire goal of the defense.

Pretty sure this was heavily discussed during the offseason/training camp, basically that the defense will live and die by the turnover.

I agree the defense is weak. If the defense gets turnovers,, more the better. BUT

The offense needs to control the football. Not turning the ball over and eating the clock.

Sure, the D needs TO's but the bigger issue, as bigtwnvin mentioned, is the offense turning the ball over. We win the game in Seattle going away if the O doesn't throw 3 interceptions. Even one interception and we would have won. You just can't turn the ball over multiple times a game against a good team and expect to win.

If your turnover differential is greater than, like, -1, you are probably not going to win the game.
Couple years ago didn't we put up something like 400 yards of offense, the opponent less than 100, and we lost the game because of turnovers and poor ST play?

Rec'd. Awesome movie.

TO are the number one predictor of victory not just for the Steelers but everyone. You limit the Steelers turnovers to one last week and they win easily. If the Steelers don't produce turnovers of their own they are almost doomed because they play a high risk/ reward offense.

Yeah but they had critical ones of their own. They got turnovers, but barely won or were even in turnovers. - 1 usually isn't the end of the world for a team. -2 or more is about a 85 percent or more loss certainty.
