Wondering if ROC Taylor has a legit chance to make the 53?
Kid has been turning heads in camp and would be a nice surprise if he could crack the 53.
Anybody been to camp that can provide more updates?

Coming for Roman Wilson’s spot as an UDFA

He’s got an uphill climb getting over the draft status hump, but not a lot of greatness above him in the depth chart.

There is a spot ripe for someone to ascend to…

Why not ROC?

As I said in another thread I think he only has to beat out Miller so depending how his preseason goes…

I’ve seen more than enough of Scotty Miller to not miss him a bit if he is the odd man out. He’d have to improve to be a JAG.

Having only 2 legit WRs and a ST ace in Ben Skowronek ya gotta think it’s not that hard to crack the roster at WR if ya show anything.

Hopefully between the previously injured Wilson, old man Woods, Roc and Smurfy Miller someone steps the hell up and actually EARNS those last couple spots.

Can’t think of a worse receiver room in the league off the top of my head. There’s gotta be one somewhere( right?

Like the main site mentioned, if he displaces someone, it will be Woods... old blocking wr for new blocking wr.

Taylor is a Technique WR... his physical abilities are average. He wins with precise routes. He had a rep as a good perimeter blocker in scouting reports.

Woods was a premier blocking WR on the downside of his career... he had a good rep as a technical route runner... if woods doesnt show out as a clearcut top 4 wr, he could lose his spot to Taylor

Still not convinced it would be this exchange. I get it if the room is more crowded, it isn’t. I get it if they only wanted to keep 5. I would think being DK then a decent drop off they want one more body…
We”ll see.

See, Im still not sold on the Steelers keeping 6 wrs this season.. they have too many TEs i think Miller is a PS guy...

Agreed

If you’re struggling to find 5 good bodies in the bunch why keep 6?

Just PS the bottom 2 guys

Call Jonnu a WR, whatever…but if Miller, Woods, Wilson and Skowronek are 4 of 6 it means much better talent at other positions was cut to keep a whole bunch of meh

They simply cannot enter the season with just what they have. Just like last season, exactly like last season with Pickens, after DK not much. All they did was trade out Pickens for DK. Austin has gotten better but really he’s not a number two.
Defenses will double DK not fearing any of the other receivers.
To add to this, if the OL struggles, look for Rodgers to be dumping the ball off short and quickly trying not to get hit.
I just don’t see much improvement from last year with this offense.

i'd feel confident that if you cut Miller, you could add him back at any time later in the season.
