The following teams have over $20,000,000.00 in cap space

Browns 60M
Colts 51.3M
49ers 43.5M
Texans 32.6M
Bears 23.8M
Jets 21.2M

Bell doesn't give a crap about his team, he's all about himself and the money. He has lied to the fans, and had issues off the field. A divorce from the Steelers is likely before the 2019 season.

He's given no indication he's ready to commit to the season. Only denials about when he is going to report.

Of the above teams, I do think the Browns, Colts and Jets would offer something for Bell. I hope the Steelers are fielding offers. Take the best one.

Once he signs contract he can be traded

Bell is not under contract so he can not be traded. He is, in essence, unemployed and his rights are head by the Steelers.

Can you be traded instead?

Yes, what are you offering me :)

Some quick history, when I suggested Bryant might be traded some posters groaned. Then something funny happened, he was traded! Most who groaned cheered once it happened.

Would you take a 1st round pick and say a back up RB for Bel right now to the teams with 20+ million in cap space? Get rid of the cancer now. Keeping him then losing him in free agency will at best get us 3RD Round comp pick a year later...something like pick #96 or #97.

Only if he is willing otherwise he just won’t sign.

Did he every say I'm only playing for the Steelers in 2018? If he thinks he can make more money elsewhere, he'll do it. He's already burned some relationships here.

Trade him to the Browns? Factory of Sadness or not, no trade to any team in the AFCN. I'd want a starting contributor RB/LB for him now.

First, he's only a cancer to fans like you.

Second, no one can sign him to an extension until this coming off season. So no one is going to pony up a first AND a player for a one year rental costing $14.5m.

Big difference between Bell and Bryant, Bryant on a rookie contract, Bell on a franchise tag. Bryant is minimum risk of he doesn't work out or leaves, Bell sets you back the picks and the money you spent if he doesn't stick around.

You guys want a Superbowl before Ben retires, Bell gives us that best option this year.

For their first round pick, heck yes.

but you are hoping that's what they offer. Also, that doesn't help us this year, trying to win the SB. Ben's seasons are numbered. They are in WIN NOW mode. Losing Bell certainly hurts the team trying to get to the SB. You are not getting there with Conner, Samuels and Ridley.

There are a lot of fans like me, and who are you to say his teammates, coaches or owners are any different from the fan sample? Bell even threw Colbert under the bus.

Bell in the playoffs? Stuff twice on 3rd and 4th and short last year.

Our defense, not Bell is who we need to play well in the playoffs. Better coaching would help too.

If you want to rent a one and done person for a year and get little in return when you lose him, okay sign Bell for a year.

Take a look at the past winning super bowl back fields. Which team needed a star back to win a super bowl.

Our window to win a super bowl isn't one year open. Its a few years and Ben says he wants to play a few more years, not just 2018. I'll take a high first round pick who will be here for a 4-5 years while Ben is playing over Bell for one. Also with 14.5 million in cap space, we can buy pretty much any non-franchised or tagged player.

I'd take Ajai/Blount combo over all of our current back-ups combined. Dion Lewis and James White, too. If you are trading him before the season starts, the 2018 season becomes a wash because you have just lost a value piece to your offense. If they bring back someone like Mack, I'd feel a little better, the offense is still weaker. You do not find that production overnight or easily.

Trade his *** to the Browns where he has to share carries

I think all that could be traded is his Franchise Tag for this year once he signs. If he signs the tag he can be traded, but I don't see how any team could negotiate beyond the deadline that has already past. So they are getting exactly what the Steelers are getting. a one year 14 million dollar deal.

A-N-D we NEVER got there with BELL last season or any season he has been here.......................... I'm sure you noticed. I don't buy the notion that we can't win a SB without BELL.

Salute the nation

Coach, of course he can be traded once he signs the tender. You know this after numerous folks on here have told you this. He is not currently under contract until he signs then and only then can they move him if they desire to.
I personally think he won’t report next week hoping that he forces the team to rescind the tag freeing him up to sign with whomever.

I seriously doubt they rescind the tag. That said, I wonder if he sits out games, does the team "recoup" the unpaid money under this years cap? That is, if he sat out 3 games, that is like 2.7M. Is that money then available under the cap?

Disagree. If we can get there with Bell, we can get there without him. RB not a big issue IMO.
