For me we have to be grabbing a killer ILB and a draft pick. Cause Cam is the ******* man!

that was my original thought before I posted my smart *** response...
 
JJ and TJ on the edges with Bud at ILB??? I'm getting a ******* hard on!!
 
Yeah so id have to see the return on cam cause I don’t want to screw with the depth at cb at all ... then again there are probably more available cbs for short term depth if we really needed it...

If we get JJ ... the headlines the rest of the year should read Things like
“Watt is going on”
“Watt the hell“
“Watt could go wrong”

Lol the options are endless...
 
To be fair though, if he is dealt it likely will be for something a lot less than what we’re speculating lol.... it will be sutton for some bit piece and we will all be miserable ��
 
The timing is just so weird... Hilton is hurt... Sutton is a UFA after the season...
It stands to reason that only a contender would be looking at him...
He is quality cheap depth...
the contender that needs cb help the most are the Seahawks, but they have huge injury problems elsewhere and need a pass rusher Or two more than anything

Perhaps one of the NFC east teams has delusions of grandeur, but seriously he wouldn’t be worth more than a low round pick to most teams... it just doesn’t seem like the position to trade from imo... so weird... unless maybe he has a huge injury or suspension we didn’t know about...
 
I would think it would be with a team that could provide the Steelers with an ILBer option. Like the Jets who have a deep group of LBers. Sure Watt sounds attractive and I would welcome that addition but I seriously doubt Houston would swing that trade.

I heard rumors they are liking what they see with Layne. So that could factor in.
 
I guess they don't have any hopes of resigning him, too bad as I always liked the kid as he was smart, team captain and ST returner coming from college.

Next draft the team should be looking for a nickel and we all know how CB goes with our scouting department...

Sutton is a good reserve DB. With Hilton hurt, his value is high. Who would we get in return?
 
Hard to say... again there would be little reason for any of the teams with little playoff hope to trade for him
The steelers probably won’t trade with another afc contender
The NFC teams that need help in the secondary seem to have higher concerns... or not great depth at the positions we need most

Detroit just nabbed a DE off dallas...they probably have a roster spot that needs opened up... They are a little banged up in the cornerback position but seem to have a lot of players there... id say we might be targeting their starting ilb, but honestly if they are adding to the team through trades, why trade him?

Well after this season we havn't got much control over him. Might as well get something for him now. I'd love to keep as he is VER quality depth but I'm sure he wants more playing time and secure future. Out cap situation may not afford his future as opposed to FA market.

While I agree with your sentiments about ******* with the chemistry of the team,he will be a hard man to sign for next season. I am hoping this means that Justin Layne is looking good. I would love to see this guy get some reps.....definitely a forgotten member of this team as far as the fans are concerned,I believe. Let’s see what he’s got,I was excited when he got drafted,but don’t have a clue if he can play at this level.

Maybe Cam was just redoing all his social media pages.....or just getting rid of everything all together,and we are over reacting,that would be too funny.
 
I wish Cam Sutton was just redoing his IG as well, but he posted cryptic messages like "stay tuned" and a peace sign, as if he was saying "buh-bye". Not good. Don't understand this one, unless the Steelers really like an ILB they think they can trade him for, as Slash already mentioned.
 
That is a terrible move if we trade him. What could we possibly be trading him for? He's only under contract for the remainder of this year, so I can't imagine the return for him would be anything great.
We're 6-0, why would you mess with anything??

i saw in one tweet last night that someone said Cam hasn't been on IG since August. So, could have been hacked.
I hope that's all it is.
Feel like Cam could be a good contributor as a starter next season - or when Hayden retires.

What I was thinking. You don't let good cornerbacks that are proving it on the field go like that IMO.

Yeah, his last post was in August. He might just be getting rid of instagram and social media all together... that's what I'm hoping for.
