I wonder how valid it is as to him possibly unseating AB at punt return duties................ If he is legitimate then ALL for it.

Wonder who will get the axe to make room for him after Gilbert comes back.? Good move though, anything can happen in 4 weeks.

I'm hoping thaty translates into NFL speed. I know college is a little "slower" COMPARED TO THE NFL BUT I THINK THIS KID IS AWESOME and he will translate into the mix quite easily. I know the coaches see a hell of a lot more than us but I wonder with the season as big as it is and as far along, will Sutton get a true shot at PR duty???

I'd suit him up to return punts, KRs and play special teams. Get AB the **** off the field during PRs. Too high risk to have your best WR return punts.

I don't think Sutton plays a snap on defense, which is ok because he will get to practice for at least the next 4 weeks and get some real good experience as we get deep into the season.
 
as db lookls like he will be a faster version of William Gay.

Jets play the difference in salary up to 6M, so since he's getting paid about $1M for league minimum for a 10yr vet, Jets would pay the difference. Though I'm not sure if that additional $5M is prorated since he didn't play the full year. So 6/16 games or 3/8 of the season he will be paid for. 3/8 of $5M is $1.875M. I'll keep an eye out to see if the Jets pay $5M or $1.875M to complete his season.

On second thought, I think he had to be paid his $6M regardless of him playing or not, so $5M should be the amount the Jets have to pay this season.
