Buy or sell: every penalty should be able to be reviewed ?

I'd like a booth ref, making sure the call is right. I don't think a booth ref can call a foul that wasn't called, but to confirm the call is correct, that should be their only job. And it's something that the refs on staff are already doing during broadcasts.

I was remarking recently that the it's ridiculous that the only NFL officials that are employed full time are retired and in the broadcast booth.

I'd say any penalty over 10 yards should be reviewed. Is it true that they called roughing the passer in the AFCC game because it looked like the defender may have hit the helmet?

PENALTIES ARE DECIDING TOO MUCH THESE DAYS........but now to review these is a great idea, but think of the time repurcussions, lost momentum....

Maybe penalties should now take a player off the field for a specific number of plays, or time period like hockey

That idiot who was off sides COST the season for the Cheifs....Man I thought my life sucked....Hate to be him today

bad idea...slippery slope... Pandora's box... pass interference and holding could have been called on almost any play that was ran yesterday.

You don't have to review the "judgment " piece. There was no "judgment " involved in the missed PI or the roughing the passer.

Either the hand hit the head or didn't.

Roughing the passer due to hit to the, if ypu accept the penalty qb sits out the rest of that series.

Absolutely not. Same number of challenges, but you can review penalties and I don't even care what kind of penalties. I don't want it to turn into college football where the replay booth buzzes down after every single play for a review. While they're at it, they need to overhaul the replay system to get a decision announced within a minute of the initiation of a replay.

Why can’t it just be instant kinda like college.(don’t know if they do flags but) Instant, stop of clock and immediately call made. No 5-10 minutes of waiting until Vegas calls in or craft.

So yes and no to the OP question. It’s should just be a fluid, seamless, on going part of the game. Things would need ironed out with respect to the “get to the line” when we knew it wasn’t a catch or whatever. But hell, if something was wrong it shouldn’t rely on tossing that red flag when you don’t know. It should be in the booth. O, and most importantly.....get a competent head of officiating
