I think we are seeing a incredible amount of bad calls in the league. They are contributing to outcome. I won't put a percentage on it. But enough to make the game less enjoyable and down right painful to watch at times.

That would be a hard sell, but if you can challenge a spot of a ball over a matter of inches at mid field, you should be able to challenge a pass interference call or no call that has a much greater impact.

Maybe not every penalty is reviewed, but put a ref in the box that can see replays in real time, like any other viewer. Said ref has the authority to call down to the field and say 'hey, you missed a blatant PI' or, 'hey, that does not warrant PI'. Done. End. Fini. In the same matter of seconds you and I are watching the Rams non call PI, he calls down and tells the ref on the field it is PI on Defense, no. XX, first down Rams at the NO 20.' Guy in the booth has the ultimate decision in times like this when he has to step in. It's not like the league couldn't afford to pay such an extra position. This guy ONLY steps in when a blatant non-call or wrong call is missed/made (like the play in the LA/NO game). Just another set of eyes.

It's "entertainment".

Games should last a minimum of 6 hours to get more commercials in

With a 20 minute intermission after each qtr like hockey, no halftime

Set up a ref booth in Toronto to review every score, every hit, every call too

Let the head coach have the ability to red flag any play, penalty or not as long as it was not whistled dead.

Refs suck. Also I’m for a bs file. Let there be an on line data base in blown calls with video and the refs name closest to the action that blew the call for ALL fans to see.

Whats really funny is Chiefs fans arent whining about calls, they are blaming the guy that lined up offsides to cause the game winning int to be nullified, lol

Teams should be able to review the same amount of penalties as they do for plays. Have a bucket for plays and a separate bucket for penalties. Something must be done as the officials are getting worse each year.

It all depends on how long you want the game to last. They are harder and harder to watch as the pussification rules advance and yet the league "wants bad officiating to cover the manipulation of games" to continue thus the NO "professional" ref's. Tough call slash so I'll have to shop for more options.........................

Give me a break, letting teams use their challenges for penalties would NOT add significant time to the games, that's ridiculous. It's completely retarded than ANYTHING is unchallengeable.

Same number of challenges as currently allowed, but give coaches the ability to challenge missed/blown calls. Use your challenges wisely. Probably will see less spot challenges. Length of game remains virtually the same.

Instead of the current format add one more challenge and don't limit what can be challenged. That PI call cost them a trip to the SB, period and that can't be alright.

I say public shaming Game of Thrones style for refs that make or miss blatant calls. that should fix things.. shame shame shame

Something has to be done, the jags got screwed in NE last year, refs called a PI late when the replay showed it wasn't, but NE got the ball at the 10 on a 40 yard penalty.
Were pass interferences ever reviewed? I thought when I was younger, late 80's early 90's they were. Or maybe I'm just remembering, the "you make the call" segments during commercial breaks

you wanna see the right call of course but the games would take so long they would be looking at everything, that being said the saints game . just ridiculous . sucks to lose in the playoff with a bs call like that

I'd like a booth ref, making sure the call is right. I don't think a booth ref can call a foul that wasn't called, but to confirm the call is correct, that should be their only job. And it's something that the refs on staff are already doing during broadcasts.

Too many games are being directly impacted by terrible calls or no calls. The NFL can no longer ignore it due to the money involved. If they do, it is to their own detriment. How much money does Pittsburgh make if they don't call Joe Haden for PI? What does the city bring in financially by hosting a playoff game? What does it do for the Saints to go to the SB? The refs are changing outcomes and deciding which city gets millions in added revenue and which do not.

Something has to be done. The NHL allows challenges on missed offsides, goaltender interference, etc. The NFL is going to have to follow suit as their officials are getting worse every year.

The NHL only allows those challenges on scoring plays, so technically the NFL does that already, as all scoring plays are reviewed. The reviews can not result in a player going to the box for interference I don't believe. I'm in total agreement with you though, games are being decided on horrible calls and or missed calls. Leagues do not want to replay penalties or non penalties to protect their officials, but this is getting out of control.
I'm beginning to wonder if they should change the PI penalty to just 15 yards too, the defense gets totally screwed when a PI is called and it's 30-35 yards downfield and it shouldn't even have been called.

Missed/blown calls should be treated like DUIs. Miss a couple and you go to jail.
