Buy or sell? Ben throws less interceptions without AB

We threw more than any other team. Ben's int% was the same as Luck and puts him in the middle of the league. I'm about 99% sure we aren't going to throw that much this season, especially with the ego maniac me-first asshat now in Oakland. 11 or 12 of his INT's were targeted for AB, several guys in the know, especially Batch have said AB as run incorrect routes. Bouchette said that those incorrect routes directly resulted in INT's.
 
He really wasn't that bad,16 INT's for his output was @ 2.4 % down from his career avg of 2.7 % per pass attempt

Ben LEAD the league in Pass attempts, a career high 675 (by far).42 attempts a game.

That said....We will still throw a ton, but his pass attempts will be down to say 40 or 38 per game, so yes, he will sit at about 11 INT's.

He's still a gunslinger

Moncrief’s catch percentage has been on the low side for three years. His hands are not great and he’s not s smooth route runner.

On the other hand the qb’s he has worked with have not been good as a group outside of a healthy luck.

We might have a bunch of threes with someone starting. We’ll see.

Actually, he's an excellent route runner. I thought he was a Z guy, but the way he runs, he could handle the X. He has good hand tech, not perfect, not JuJu good, but probably the 3rd best hand tech on the team behind JuJu and Eli.

That's interesting, who says that?

If he's a good route runner, he should be able to get open with his size and speed. Yet his catch percentage is too low. Why is a good question.

It’s more like you enjoy attention because you probably lack self esteem, While you abuse the purposes of the site for said lack of self esteem, the content you provide is only a fraction of qualitative substance.

Ben threw 675 passes last year. That's over 100 more passes that the 2nd most he ever threw which happened to be 561 passes in 2017. I'm guessing the steelers run the ball a lot more this year and for that alone Ben should throw less INTs.
 
I say buy.....but not by much.

We all know Ben had the most attempts in the league

Ben. 675 att 452 comp. 16 int 5129 yards
Luck.639 att. 439 comp. 15 int. 4953
Ryan 608 att 422 comp 7 int. 4924

2017----561 att 14 int
2016----- 509 att. 13 int.

By the way,as much as most people on this site think Rodgers is way overrated ,he had an amazing 2 int on 597 att,while being sacked 49 times,so must of been running for his life all season. Ben was sacked 24.

It was a weird year. Even when Connor was healthy,I thought we were passing too much. Certainly not all Ben's fault. Crucial times when we just needed to move the chains we would throw 15-20 yds plus down the field on like 3rd & 4. Ball control needs to improve big time. Our OC was busy getting experience as well. I believe he will step up his game. I am excited to see ow our run game evolves this coming season.

One little fun fact while I was looking this up. Every Steelers fans favorite QB Neil O'Donnell retired with an All time NFL Record of lowest int to pass attempts. I seem to remember a couple that he threw.
