Last year seemed to be a little off for BR. I don't know if it was AB related entirely but I do know it had some effect on him. Some say as many as 4-6 interceptions were AB related directly to WRONG route running. I could see at least three times it was a direct result, maybe more.

I'm saying that Ben Roethlisberger will have fewer interception this year but NOT just because AB is gone..........72% buying.

Salute the nation

No doubt he forced balls AB's way more than he should have but he may now have to force some into guys that can't get open like AB could.

I'm with DIC....72% buying.

Think they'll be less, but it all depends on who steps up to fill the void. JuJu has been great and I expect that will continue, but he'll be the top dog now and will receive more attention.

So Moncrief, Washington, Rogers, Switzer, DJ, and even McDonald will be the X factors in the equation. And of course Ben knowing their limitations.

Buying, but still diversifying the portfolio.

AB wanted the ball every play. AB won us games. Ben got the ball to AB more than any other receiver ever. He was forcing throws into bracket, double and triple teams. We don't have a receiver that will get triple teamed now, so I'd say Ben's INT numbers will drop this year.

Buy or Sell, eh Coach? I wonder where that came from?

And I'm buying, Ben is motivated to light this league on fire and show the haters AB didn't make him. Everyone get your popcorn ready.

Agreed they’ll drop. There appears to be no egos in the WR room. Ben can just focus on hitting the open guy

That will make Ben’s INTs go down for sure. But damn as much as I can’t stand the guy, I’ll miss the plays AB made on the field, forced throws or not

Coach, Is that you? Welcome back!

I am buying. Ben will have a ton of targets to throw to with no real need to force things. Plus, I think they will run a little more this year. The only potential snag here is if the young guys start running wrong or bad routes and/or they have balls bouncing off their hands.

Good point, fingers crossed.

His yardage will probably will drop, and perhaps even the TD throws. But the Ints should as well. The O will need to run efficiently and the D will need to play better in coverage to minimize Ben's must throw situations..... So a lot at play here besides the exit of one productive cancer.

I don’t think we have a true number two receiver yet. Camp will determine that. Until a good number two receiver emerges Fitchner might go to the backs and Tight end a bit more.

I see less interceptions and less yards passing for the season. A fair trade the interceptions are killer especially since the defense gets too few back for the offense.

The number two spot is Donte Moncrief's to lose. And yes Ben will throw to the backs and McDonald as he has been doing, naturally losing that type of WR the ball will be spread out more. This is no shocker as it has already been said as such.

Remember 2004-2005? We are set up to run an offense like that, and I hope Fichtner doesn't fall in love with the high ratio passing game.

Bingo.......

Coach, you’re back! I’m buying that Ben will have a considerable drop in the int department.
I actually think this could be our best collection of offensive talent to date.
I like what all three RBs being, plus the TE McDonald IF he stays healthy adds a solid weapon.
Would have liked to retain Jesse James.
The receiver talent is very talented and versatile and Ben won’t be forcing the ball. I’m buying in and think Ben has a great season.

Btw, **** you AB and LevBell.

Selling, with a clarification. If we throw the ball as much as we did last year, we will have more because AB is just really good. Ben is going to force the ball at times and make his share of bad decisions regardless of who is at WR. I hope we have more balance this year.

Speaking of Lev Bell, here's a quote from today:

"I think Sam [Darnold] is going to make me a better player. He's so mobile and creates opportunities that I never had. We're going to be a special duo in the backfield."

WTF?

And then there's this:

Rich Cimini@RichCimini

"RB Le'Veon Bell, in his first offseason practice, is learning on the fly. When he's not in the lineup, he's standing with the backup quarterbacks as the plays are sent in. He's holding a football, looking a bit lost, quite frankly. He's had only four team reps."

**** you is right.

I will enjoy watching him face reality. Most of his new opportunities will be getting slammed in the backfield. J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets! LOL!
