Burfict Suspended

I guessed three would be the sentencing with one game suspended. I don't agree with it, but it is better than nothing. He will be out of football before next season end, weather by injury or arrest.

Salute the ntion

Knowing the NFL, his return for game 4 would probably none other than Pittsburgh to get ratings.

I would run a sweep to his side every down until someone takes out his knee. If we don't do it the Ravens will.

Agree, i predict an off-season arrest or two.

The Ravens hate the man every bit as much as we do... most teams do... he is going to come to a bad end eventually... in football and in life, unless of course he changes... and that is rare

I'd like a full appeal, so the NFL can look into all of his questionable calls over the last 2 years and suspend him for 6 games. Burfdefect (love the nickname by the way guys!) makes Suh look like he plays a calm, calculated, civilized game.

Expect Burfict to return in Week 4 against the Steelers on Sunday Night Football.

I will until we hear he murdered a stripper or something in the offseason... the suspension announcement in the offseason rarely ends well with that kind of player, who knows, maybe he is one of the guys who tones it down, but my money is on him catapulting off a cliff of doom now

Here is what I, personally , do not understand... The league changed the rules on us midseason... Harrison had no warning when they dropped the fine on him for concussing two players with what at the time was a good football play... every fine after that it was never the same hit... the hit on Brees wasn't "late' as described by whatever moron put it in Wikipedia... it was "Landing with the full weight of the player in an attempt to injure" for whatever that means. The McCoy hit? he was running with the ball... it would have been a legal play up to this year I believe... No warnings, just fines to change the way the game was played.... Burfict has had what, seven warnings or fines now? and he had the rules already set when he came in... four fines, a suspension, and a few more incidents where they gave him the benefit of the doubt...

There was a double standard here for sure.... and no matter what the Bengal morons think, the league gave him way more leeway than they did Harrison and a few other real whipping boys...

Since it is now Tues. It should be about high time we change our focus from the Bungles and onto the Broncos........but I am having too much fun eating my popcorn, drinking my tea and sharing in their complete and total misery

These are the animal fans you're dealing with over there.
Screw the rigged NFL. (sic)Burdock will just be fresher to come back and decapitate some more opponents.
They just don't get it...

Yep, especially with this:

Burfict fine for Maxx Williams underscores failure to control him

And yet there he was, out there again in a playoff game against a team they all knew he had already injured a player. And what the do the Steelers get out of it, a win yes, but a banged up Ben and Brown in the process from that walking piece of ****. And yet, just as you said, they dropped the hammer on Harrison time and time again.

Look, what the NFL needs is to steal some hockey rules... the second personal foul that has to do with an attempt to injure should be an auto ejection and 1 game suspension pending review, for players who have been fined or suspended multiple times for intent to injure, there should be a repeat offenders list where every such action brings an escalating and defined suspension back... Burfict has a 5th or 6th incident in the meaningless season finale... whelp auto suspension for the first playoff game... no subjectivity... no well lets give this guy one more chance but not that guy... no more "but the ratings will be great" just here it is, if you repeatedly break it, this is what you are getting...and it triples every time... if you go 5 years without such a hit we may waive your next hit if we think it was accidental

The f'n Bengals fans at Go-Bengals are completely insane. It's unreal.

I mean you're dealing with absolutely irrational people over there. They're talking about how the NFL had a love affair for James Harrison and treated him like a Defensive GOD! Yet somehow Vontaze Burfict is painted as villainous. They go on to say that it is absolutely against Burfict's character to hit Brown in a dirty and unsportsmanlike way in that situation because it would jeopardize the team as they were ahead at the moment.

I'm thinking to myself, "How many ******* personal fouls does he have this season? How many did he get in college? Do you even KNOW who you're talking about?"

Bengals fans bitching about Porter being on the field after the AB hit need to take a good long look at this video of the Bernard hit. Start at around 1:00 mark you can see one of the Bengals assistant coaches shoving Dupree (what was THAT coach doing on the field?) ... At around the 1:30 mark there are folks/coaches surrounding Bernard ...Sure looks like more than the Head Trainer and Marvin ... Heck, I don't even see Marvin in the mix of all those Bengals personnel out there.
