Burfect deserves a suspension

good **** him **** those ******** bungal fans and **** the Bungals.

**** schefter. You're a hack! NFL doesn't release fines until Thursday. Always has. I suppose his source *cough* * burfict* *cough* didn't get notified on Tuesday. Duh. Shefter yet again does things the wrong way so the media is rolling with "the NFL changed its mind" instead of realizing that fine info doesn't get released before Thursday. Ever.

Sheft has been WRONG on many ocasions, including this one. There was a time I use to think he was credible, mostly due to the confidence he delivered his schpeel. NOT anymore, to many **** songs out of his mouth. Oh, and by the way, burfuck deserves the fine and then some. The bungles fans need more football school as they dumber than a skunk ******.

Salute the nation

Fed ex comes on Wednesday. Antonio got his fed ex box yesterday.

And for you guys freaking out, it was Burficts agent who said he wasnt fined.

Glad to see the earlier report was wrong. It defied all logic that he wouldn't be fined for that.

I hate teams that are crybabies, but it's even worse to say nothing at all. Tomlin rarely argues with refs and Rooney rarely argues with the league. This leads to them feeling more comfortable penalizing the steelers than some other teams.

Chew a ref's ear off on a bad call and you will likely get a makeup call later. It's just human nature. Rooney calls the league and reminds them how he carried their water on numerous Goodell debacles and Burfict is suspended.

I don't want Tomlin crying like a Harbaugh, but you can't always play it cool either.

Yeah, and at least Cowher showed some emotion. I'll never forget him stuffing a picture in a referee's front shirt pocket as he was walking off the field all pissed off. Damn ref needed an umbrella by the time Cowher was done jawing at him. /pot stir

Sure as hell doesn't arrive on a Tuesday. No need to defend Shifty Schefter. ;)

Turns out Burfect was fined.. $77k... makes me wonder if Rooney's made a phone call to Rog.
He'll appeal because he can. The video doesn't look good for Burfict though. What's puzzling is that the backfield umpire was right there and no penalty assessed. Even if the umpire did throw a flag he has to explain it to the white cap zebra. The NFL Rulebook clearly defines hitting a passer or going for the knees after the ball it thrown is a roughing the passer foul deserving of a penalty. It's no wonder the officiating seems to be taking a lot of criticism lately.

One of the great "non-football" moments in Steeler history.

that was an incorrect 12-men on the field call, right?

Yes, the refs failed to call it. Cowher was screaming on the sideline. He got a print out of the overhead and stuffed it in the refs pocket at halftime.

Was that the same game as the bettis ot coin toss fiasco or just the same season?

the picture pocket stuff was against the Vikings for too many men on the field..that was not called..if I remember correctly...but I am pretty old

And as "awesome" as Cowher's shirt-stuffing move was (it happened right before halftime), the team was so fired up by it that we laid a complete egg in the 2nd half and got blown out.

Yep that was minnesota... I think bettis was vs detroit on thanksgiving... Same seaason iirc

So bungloid villages across ohio are up. In arms over this. Mostly cause they are football illiterate dumbasses. Players flagged for personal fouls almost always get some fine, though it may not be publicized... And if youshould have got one and didnt it tends to be harsher... The league NEVER said they werent fining him.. His agent was blowing pr smoke hoping nothing would be publicly released. And he started the pregame ****... Its never the team that was on its own side of the fields fault...

The Bill Cowher Incident

McCarter was the referee in a regular season game between the Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers on September 24, 1995 at Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh. Just before halftime on a Minnesota field goal attempt, line judge Ben Montgomery called a penalty on Pittsburgh for having 12 players on the field, a violation of the rules. Minnesota was able to score a field goal as a result of the penalty. Pittsburgh head coach Bill Cowher counted 11 players on the field, and in disgust, printed a photo to prove that 11 players were on the field. At halftime, Cowher ran by McCarter as they were going to the locker room and shoved a photo in McCarter's shirt pocket to show the referee the evidence. League rules did not allow using photographic evidence to overturn calls. The NFL later agreed that the officials miscounted the number of Pittsburgh players on the field and fined both McCarter and Montgomery a game's pay, $4,009 and $2,826 respectively. According to the Wall Street Journal, these were the largest fines ever for an American sports official.[2] Cowher also was fined $7,500 for his actions.

I hope we get to kick the **** out of them again in the playoffs. It would be.....POETIC.

Interesting Shefter wanted an investigation on what Steelers said but Pacman Jones ran free, supposedly over 100,000 dollars in fines and one towards Williams in what he said, no Pacman fines. I know we want all passive in Tomlin and Rooney's but I would once in awhile like them to stand up for the team. Was a lot of excess plays in that game and we got the flags for it.

Stop whining already. Face it, the former Bullies (Stealers) are getting bullied but the new Bullies of the AFC North (Bengals).

This loser makes one post and he's done. One and done like his loser team.

Wow, Stealer fans are as big of crybabies as the players. LOL The has been bullies don't like getting bullied by the New Bullies of the AFC North do you!? LOL
