Please find any clips of Lloyd or earlier Steelers administering direct shots to the head of guys on their knees or throwing their shoulder pad right into the head of a WR cutting across the field.

Clark, Shell, Lloyd, Lambert, Mean Joe, Harrison or just about any other hard hitting Steeler defender you want to name may have made some crushing hits on guys, but not with the apparent ill intent that burfect exhibits

Lloyd and Harrison both wanted to pretty much kill you until the whistle. Period. And that's exactly how you should hit a guy. Now, that being said, when you've been a late hitting, headhunting, ankle twisting, spitting and just general peice of **** to the point of needing how many ******* warnings about dirty ******* play, well, then yeah, **** you, you're done.

Hitting after the whistle is dirty bullshit. He's a piece of ****, plain and simple. Lloyd is a complete and total clusterfuck, off the field, but I don't remember much after the whistle from him, or Harrison. Now Lambert would punch you in front of the ref if you pissed him off, but those were different times.

I think those are two very aggressive players, but I think you are attributing a little too much. If people play in a manner where they are trying to kill people all the time 2 things will happen:
1. They will miss a lot of tackles which neither one of those guys did.
2. EVERYONE gets exposed in this game. If you honestly play like that you will get yours (See Juju on Burfect here). Or a well time chop block.
I will honestly say that when Harrison was suspended I thought it was complete bullshit and the game would suffer. Having coached the game for 7 years since, I have a very different perspective. I teach players to efficiently get people to the ground. There is enough of a physical component in the game under safe contact rules to dominate and even intimidate your opponent without "killing anyone"
