Burdick suspended FOR THE YEAR!!!

Linkadoo?

That should signal the end of Burthdefects career.

Could see that coming a mile away, he got the rep for life, Headhunters are outlawed by the NFL

Now what will the cheats defender get for his questionable hit?

Ol Al's wallet says nothing.

And the clock starts ticking on a gritty Starz Original series featuring Antonio Brown and Vontaze Burfict as two maverick cops that clean up the mean streets of Detroit with their rough and tumble, not-quite-by-the-book brand of street justice.

The name of the show... Ren & Stimpy

[ Intended for Mature Audiences Only ] Closed Captions provided.

Raiders made him a captain of their team too, lol

Suspended without pay, he brought it on himself, poster child for roid rage

The league and the NFLPA need to get together to make it a lifetime suspension. That sends a message to a younger player (this is probably the end of his career anyhow) that it won't be tolerated. Its the players that are losing their dollars and brain cells. If the league and NFLPA can't get together they are a joke.

Honestly it’s bullshit he’s a real defensive player. The type
We made our hero’s like Lloyd lambert etc. this ***** league sucks

Ryan Clark and James Harrison at least tried to change their games, the were "dirty" players too

This guy was laughing and blowing kisses to the fans after he launched and speared a guy with the crown of his helmet, no excuses

Old School guys played hard, and violently. But I think you'd be hard pressed to prove that they were unabashedly trying to injure other players every single game. Burfict is unquestionably attempting to hurt people. Hell, he may be trying to kill them or at least end their careers. He's completely out of control. Not like Lloyd and Lambert at all.

you rarely if ever saw helmet to helmet hits in the 70s. You got forearm shivers and cheap late hits but the helmet as a weapon is a relatively new phenomena as the helmets have gotten better and stronger and the players dumber and dumber.

Talk about making an example of someone.....

We should be seeing alot fewer helmet to helmets now...........

Knowing what we know now this is a really stupid statement. If you have a son playing football would you feel that way. Bullshit. No one is going to say their child is a ***** after they get crumpled to the ground with a vicious head hit. This game cannot survive that way.It will be gone.

About damn time. It was way over due and it should be a lifetime ban, not just most of a season. He is a habitual offender and shows no regard for the safety of others. His hits (this one, the one on AB and many others) don't get any more telegraphed as to his intent to injure the player.

This hit on Bills' starting QB (revised to Twitter link as NFL cannot allow 10 seconds of ******* highlights to remain YouTube)? Pffft, no problem. Few yards negated by offsetting penalty, maybe a small fine, no ejection, no suspension. All good here.

Then later in the same game, Van Noy goes after the backup QB's head on a trick play where the backup QB did not have the ball, was not blocking, and was 10 yards from the play.

Again, pfffft, no big deal. A couple of yards. No ejection, no suspension, nothing. Big fat nothing.

Twice going after the opposing QB on an illegal hit? Coincidence. Pure happenstance. Not a dirty team, no, not at all.

If Burfdefect played for a certain team, he would not have missed a down.

******* NFL. Video no longer available. Trying to link Twitter video of hit.

Just came here to say this...unfuckingacceptable.

Same hit on a QB ...offset penalties....no harm, no foul (lol) and definitely no suspension.

This league is a gottdamned joke and I'll never give them another cent.

Yeah but-outside of the real dirty players in nfl history... not many were accused of twisting ankles, biting and spitting like burfict has been... I wanted the Steelers to draft the kid... i was wrong... he is thoroughly a headcase... hard hitters like lloyd didn’t try to wreck knees or make their hits out of bounds... the guyis whacked

nflpa will probably appeal it.
