Go ******* cheer for the Raiders, or go cheer for whatever **** team Bell signs with. Sick of hearing everyone crying that we lost the two best players on the team, blah, blah, blah! No the best player and the one that actually matters is still here, the player with the Super Bowl Rings, the guy that will be a first ballot HOFer, the one that made those two so good.
We lost Burress after 2004, Bettis looked finished, what the **** happened in 2005? We won the whole ******* thing with Cedric Wilson and a converted college QB opposite Ward, and an undrafted free agent RB.

Hear people crying we draft to late to do to get any impact players, so we're just going to be mediocre until Ben retires. Where were Watt, Heyward, and Shazier drafted?

We lost two piece of ****, me first ******** from this team. Everyone ******* about the drama and the circus, well those two asshats are gone, and people are still bitching.

Hopefully Tomlin gets this ******* wake up call that just slapped him upside the head and he takes control of this damn team, and gets his head out of his ***. I'm not worried about the lack of talent this team, it's the guy running that show that may get in the way.

Yeah it will be hard to replace AB's production, but theres a decent chance the offense is more efficient without that diva running the wrong damn route and throwing a tantrum because he's not getting the ball even though we are winning or when other's score TD's. He just signed a contract that made him the highest paid WR in the NFL, and that's not enough? It's obvious teams weren't lining up to get that amazing generational talent. It's funny, since AB did no wrong, and Ben was the culprit, you'd think every team would be trying to get him.

**** Bell, Connor in year two did just as well as Bell did his last season here. Was there anyone here that really wanted the Steelers to give him 17 per with an outrageous signing bonus?

We won what a whole 3 playoff games with these two "supposed best at their position" guys over their career?

Rant over.

Whatever....Glad you dig what we did, which is getting so little in return for these 2 pieces of **** (I agree with you there)....Cause I don't

Exactly what options do you think the Steelers had? The owner of the team told the whole world that we have to part ways with AB. Nobody in their right mind is giving up premium compensation for a guy that EVERYONE in the NFL KNEW the Steelers had to get rid of. AB was NEVER coming back to the Steelers, NEVER, Not in 100,000,000 years was it ever an option to bring him back. Elite players will ALWAYS have all of the power in these negotiations as long as the CBA is not redone to give teams more control over players.

Lol, Steelers have gone from "SB or bust" to "We are 8-8" .... and the fans cheer!

So the Steelers played hard ball with Bell and people *****, Steelers ditch the drama with AB and people *****...see a common trend here?

Either get fair value for him or keep him and let him sit if he won't honor his contract.

The 3rd and 5th are nothing.

People would have made better offers if we just hung onto him, or he can sit...period

Keeping either of those players was not an option. I dont think anyone considers that an option. I think people wanted to turn the page with hope that maybe a star player could be had. Not impossible, but hard to see that for a 3rd round pick. Though I kinda suspected it all along it was still jarring when you think that we got a low round pick more then we got for Bryant. Also that the Cowboys gave up a first for a guy that is about 2/3 as productive. I hear you about getting rid of trash. But talent wins games too. I just dont feel the organization played their cards well and dropped the ball a couple times along the way.

please tell us all what they should've done? Bell wants 17 per with 40-50 signing bonus, and he said he was going to do the same as the previous season, show up right before the season started, which is why his teammates were so pissed at him.

AB just signed a contract that made him the highest paid WR in the NFL, he was targeted more than anyone else in the NFL, was treated by his head coach better than anyone else on the team, and that still wasn't good enough. It's pretty telling when no teams offered **** for the guy isn't it?

Cooper is what, 7 or 8 years younger than AB, had **** throwing to him, and wasn't a selfish ******* teammate, and an idiot off the field.

Oakland giving us a 3rd for Bryant was just plain idiotic.

Coryea I hear you man! Tomlin getting his head out of his *** is much more an issue than people think. He is too arrogant and stubborn and this translates poorly coaching this football team. Now if Art II gives this idiot an extension this summer, we're screwed. Thats the wrong message to send to Tomlin and the team. Make him earn it in 2019 and not reward him for a lackluster season topped off by his handling of Brown.

On to Ben now! I think he can still play at a high level for 2-3 more years barring injuries so signing him makes sense but they also need to see if Rudolph can be the heir apparent to Ben. I think Mason gets the brunt of the work in the pre season and if he can't overtake Dobbs to backup Ben, then that will need addressed next off season in the draft. We have to find out sooner than later because at 37 if Ben gets injured the healing process takes longer and the probability of career ending is stronger, so be prepared.

I'm glad Bell is gone and think with Connor, JaySam and a middle round draft pick can replace that productivity cheaper and a lot less headache. Brown on the other hand played us like a fiddle and that truely pisses me off. I do not like the return and would have held out longer even past the draft into training camp and if he wants to retire, fine, then pay back part of the signing bonus and retire, but he wouldn't. No, he would come in to camp late, pout and if he causes distractions, fine him and inform the league that his attitude is detrimental to the team.
What we did was set a precedent now for other greedy ******* like Brown to pull the same crap. Don't like it!

LMAO, again, what if AB decides he is not going to sit, shows up and continues to be a huge distraction? The Steelers can only suspend him for 4 ******* games, then what? AB was decimating his value with every video, tweet, and sound clip he made. The Steelers could not bring him back and EVERYONE but some delusional fans understood that. His value was decreased because everyone knew the Steelers were not keeping him around. Have you ever negotiated for anything in your life?

We are the Browns

Nobody can say the Steelers don't do everything to keep their players happy, lol

Antonio Brown has never looked happier celebrating the Raiders trade

Not every player can pull that off, and AB was going to win as long as he got paid, he doesn't give a **** about winning, he's not going to get his stats now, well he may because they'll be trailing so much he'll get garbage time stats which are just all the same to him.

Yeah, he's worth more than a 3rd and 5th talent wise, but every team could've offered more, and none did that's very telling what the rest of the league thinks about him. Yeah they could've held on to him, which I was in favor of at first, but he'd not show up, we'd fine him and he'd be the biggest ******* distraction off the field the entire year. So **** him, he can have his money, his **** team and QB, and watch his stats take a beating, if that's considered winning, well then well done AB.

We are the Browns

Hay the Browns aren't looking to bad here. Plenty of talent with more on the way with a couple first round picks, a smart GM, young and talented QB. Can't keep them down forever, law of averages they would improve at some point. Once they stopped hiring baseball people to run their operations and start hiring guys like John Dorsey I knew things would get better.

The best option they had was to tell AB point blank that we either get a first or he is back and suspended for the first four games without pay. That takes care of the expense of the roster bonus and then some. If there is one thing that is guaranteed, it's that Brown will continue to give you reasons to extend the suspension and save his 2019 salary. If they don't want him back they trade him to Buffalo. If he refuses to play, he doesn't get paid and rots for a year like Bell. What this team has done is guarantee that a player like JuJu is going to pull the same thing when he doesn't like his contract.

I just hate what Brown became and that he got everything he wanted and thanks to him we got screwed. He would have been a pain in the *** had we kept him but so what! Let him whine all he wants but he would be locked in with us and would have eventually played. And we may have been able to trade this idiot on draft day as well.

There is NOTHING in the CBA that gives a team the right to extend suspensions beyond 4 games. Why would Buffalo trade for someone that may not show up, that makes no sense at all for them. Inherit our nut job with no guarantee that he even shows up. We might get a pack of bubble gum for AB from Buffalo. This has been an issues since TO...yet it very seldom if ever happens, maybe because most players are not total douche bags.

The minute they accepted the view that there was 'no other alternative except to drop him at any cost', and let that become their public message, they forfeited all negotiating leverage with the rest of the league. A competent executive would never cede that negotiating high ground.

In the process, they've lost control of the team, they lost the respect of their fans and the league, and they lost a very good wide receiver!

Admitting the problem is the first step. Steelers management and coaches got played!

First off, you don't know that. You also don't know how disruptive he was while on the team. He also threatened retirement combined with all his douchebaggery. You see a pattern here............. HE WAS NOT coming back to the STEELERS no matter how much you wish and wash about what you would have done. He is gone and good ******* riddance. My only disappointment is that Bell and #shit4brains naren't going to end up on the same team.

Salute the nation

100% agree. For an attorney, AR2 seems to know nothing about negotiations. Hell, I want to play poker with him, he probably turns his cards the wrong way for the whole table to see. That single move of telling everyone that it was best for Brown and the Steelers if we part ways and also said he could not envision a situation where Brown is with the Steelers this year TORPEDOED any negotiations and any value that AB had. Colbert was handed a no-win situation in trying to negotiate with teams.
