There was a short question and answer period with Bryant posted on the steelers web site in the last few days. He comes off as a well focused and dedicated player. From some of the statements he made it sounds like he has really been working to be a much better player this year than last. It seems the initial rumors that followed him about not being as focused or dedicated as he should be can be put to bed if what he says is true. 2 hours a day studying the playbook. His tape looks like he is taking conditioning serious as well. This young man looks like he is going to be a very good player and possibly much more than that if he continues to apply himself the way he has been. He also does not seem to have the I am special personality trait that some players have but more of the down to earth hard work pays off attitude. It is nice to see a young man become part of the organization that seems to exemplify quiet confidence and dedication instead of boastfulness and hyperbole.

I have nothing against Markus Wheaton. I think he has been solid and has flashed at points. The fact that Bryant beat him out before camp started to play the Flanker (I think Brown plays split end?) tells me everything I need to know about Bryant's offseason and commitment.

Bryant is going to be special. 6'4" 225 lbs and can fly and has what appears a great attitude and work ethic. This guy could be a very special player for us and then you throw in Sammy Coates who at 6'2" 212 lbs who can also fly, we could have two impressive weapons to go with the already dynamic AB. I can't wait to see Bryant and Coates this preseason.

Not sure about Bryant beating out Wheaton. An article I read this morning still said Wheaton was our No. 2 as Bryant is still an outside guy. Wheaton will move to the inside when 3 WR's are used. I haven't seen anyone say Bryant has beaten Wheaton out yet.

I am thinking the would wait thru preseason to confirm it. So the can take a closer look at both..............

There are always hopeful or mis-direction articles before/early in camp. Remember when Pouncey was a G?

Pretty hard to believe you would take out the 6'4 225 lb guy that can get vertical on first down. The term slot implies you come in on 3 receiver sets (which they play the majority of the time anyway). Putting titles and who beat who away for a minute, Bryant will be playing significantly more snaps this season then last. They won't come at AB's expense, so do the math.

I love it when a kid comes in and shows HARD work can pay off. It magnifies through out the team, UNLESS your that @sshole RB that went to n*w engl*nd. GREAT advances in store for Bryant and yes, He will see MORE playing time, regardless at who's expence.

Salute the nation

I loved the Bryant pick as e had Randy Moss like measurables bit was considered raw and not really committed. Great to see it appears he is definitely committed and looks to be about to become a well rounded receiver instead of a one trick pony.
