Browns trying to trade Haden

This is what I hope for, but not sure clevehole would pull the trigger.

And you think we will pull the trigger and sign him if he is released? That is the area that I think is less likely to happen.

why wouldn't they?

Odds 18-1 we don't get him.

Our CB situation reminds me of the offensive line of awhile ago. Shittiest line in football and took years to even address it.....................

Salute the nation

I bet Pats are Cowboys end up with him.

Maybe he wants a shot at a ring rather than the cash.

Still, someone should pick up the phone. Couldn't hurt.

Steelers will not getting into a bidding war over someone making $14M+/yr. Even if he signs for half of that, it's out of our price range. Nice pipe dream, though.

He's most likely going to have to take 5mil or less.. that isn't happening.

yeah so that likely means not the Steelers

sigh

F'ng why though?!?!?!

He is exactly what this team needs, and when we have the money to do it..... and honestly if we go into the season with the same secondary that New England shredded last year we're stating publicly that we're not legitimate Superbowl contenders

I actually think if any team has a chance to sign him would be the Steelers. Just thinking of how nice it would be to face the same team that cut you twice a year.

I think money will play more of a part. It would be nice though.

how many teams can fit $5M-$10M corner on their payroll and that has a legit chance to win the SB? Maybe SF, Jax and Tenn have cap space, but would Haden want to go to those teams? I get it that money is important, but his window is closing on a ring. Will be interesting who nabs him.

Steelers, Saints, Chiefs, and Colts are interested in Haden according to Rapsheet.

Steelers would be the perfect revenge team for him. Besides Oak and NE, who has a better chance for a ring than Ben & co?

Per source, Browns tried to get Joe Haden to take a pay cut from his $11 million salary. Haden declined. He's now a free agent.

true but the Colts have the most cap room easily out of the teams listed.

But if he wants a ring out of those four listed come here !

I think he wanted out, he knew not taking the salary cut was his best way out.

If he wants a ring/prove something to Clowns, we have a shot at getting him at a reasonable price.
If he wants money, then we're not even making an attempt.

His skills have steadily declined and you couple that with his contract that's why Browns cut him. Rosenhaus is speaking agent talk trying to drive up price for an aging veteran by saying many teams interested. He would still be an upgrade over the current list of mud hens minus Burns we have but at what cost? They won't and shouldn't overpay for this guy.
I'd rather see them try and put together a package trading some of these excess receivers to a team that has an excess of quality cornerbacks. There are teams out there like that. Hayden not worth the contract he's going to want. Wouldn't take a pay cut from Browns so that should tell you something.
