I agree you'd hope that would be the case, they still haven't had their annual **** the bed road game tho so I'll take all the help we can get, plus I hate ******* Mayfield and would love to see him make an *** of himself

Very hard to believe that a guy couldn't play in what was in essence a must win against a quality opponent, is good to go four days later. I will believe this when I see it in terms of playing like he can.

If Pouncey learns to snap the ball again. If the O-line learns how to run block. If the O-line learns how to not hold when we get in scoring territory to kill a drive. If our receivers learn to catch the ball when it hits them in both hands. If Fichtner learns to not drop Rudolph back deep in his own end zone resulting in safeties in back to back games. This offense could be unstoppable.

yea, you're right, seems like they are due. I'll take any advantage, as well. Containing Chubb and Mayfield should be 1a and 1b to beating them. Oh, can't forget Garrett.
 
Well, on the + side, we fans get a first-hand seat to discovering if the Browns are for real.

To the thread title, good, I'm glad we're underdogs. It's been obvious that is one of the strengths of this team.

And as Coolie said (but always bears repeating), **** the Browns.
 
need vannett help chip on the left side, pound conner and then get both juju and Johnson both involved in some quick slants or down field throws, as good as Denzel is I think if Fitcher lets mason take a deep shot with mason with either juju or Johnson they have the speed to beat him. I would like to see them get mason on some roll outs and throw I would to see Washington running a deep corner route from the slot to the other side deep close corner and juju on a comeback and try to get the timing as when Vance and Washington go across hit james in stride.

I think because the only way we have seen the browns in rhythm is if Chubb is breaking big ones would like too see most of the game 3 DL 2 LB 6 DB

As good as the D has been Butler cant rely solely on the 2-4-5 at times 3-4-4 where you can take Vince out and replace with a DB. This would be a good game as well where you clog the middle by using big Dan and bugs in some sets
 
This will be a good game to use Vince Williams more than he was used yesterday.

Begin sustaining drives, eat some clock, give the D some time to catch a breather. That's what's been killing me with Rudolph (+ Fichtner playcalling), the inability to stay on the field and move the chains.

But I digress. **** the Browns.

Yeah, I'd like to see the offense eat more clock as well. The D is so fast & physical and they have to sustain that, so that is crucial, 100% agreed. I did enjoy watching the O take about 8 minutes off the clock on that second half drive yesterday to help the D close out the game though.
 
we will have a strong Steelers fans but unlike past years this going to be rowdiest since 2013 when we lost a game that we should of won but our D played like crap as did our entire O I recall we have not lost by the mistake by the lake since 2012 tied them last year should won had Bos not missed as well as al Riverton taking a intc away.

Agreed. I'd pull out ALL THE STOPS on Thursday night. We cannot hold things back for the 'rematch' in two weeks...

Remember that the line is only meant to get equal money bet on both sides so the house wins no matter what by collecting the vigorish or rake from each bet.

this tells you that the browns still have a lot of hype and people seem to give weight to their win over the bills. Most people think of the browns as a preseason super bowl contender loaded with talent that had a bad stretch and maybe they have it turned around now. They think of the steelers as a team without a QB, lucky to not lose every week.

What’s interesting to me is that the line is Browns -3, but the Vig on the Browns is -100 which is even. It means bet a dollar, win a dollar. But the Vig on steelers is -120. That means for every dollar you bet on the steelers you only win $0.83.

This tells me there is already some early action on Steelers and they are trying to push people to take the Browns. Same Vig on the over/under. Under 40.5 is -120 so people must be betting under.


Best odds right now though is steelers on the money line, which means you are betting them to win outright with no points. They are currently +130 which means you win $1.30 for every 1 bet. Doesn’t sound great but bet 100 and win 130.

moneyline is always your best bet if you think the underdog will win the game outright.

Line is now Browns -2.5. That means there were enough bets on the steelers that they had to lower it to entice more bets on the browns. Again, trying to get even money on each side. But the Vig on the browns is -125. That’s pretty high so they may have gotten a flood of browns bets when the line dropped and now they are trying to push a few back to steelers with that Vig.

you can bet on Johnny Hilton to score a TD at +2200, so if you bet just 10 you’d win 220. Of course it only pays so much because it’s doubtful to happen.
