This up coming game will be held in check by the officials. That will take those cheap shot ************* off their game. Provided officiating is pretty fair I see our beloved STEELERS winning by 8

Salute the nation

Yeah, if I was the Browns, I would want Rudolph to start as well. He was awful against them last time out. Truth is it doesn't matter. Rudolph, Hodges, same same.

But it kinda does matter. Right now Duck is playing better and that can be just enough to be the difference between a win or a loss.

Yeah, I'm not buying this same same. One guy is shell-shocked out there, the other is an 'aww shucks' type of mentality and at least has some pocket awareness and mobility. While they may not be a whole hell of a lot different as far as the QB of the future, there's a big difference in the mentality. Also too small of a sample size to just say they're the same right now.

I agree the book on either one isn't closed. But one is clearly playing better right now. I credit Tomlin with not letting the ship sink. As unlike some fans I still desire a playoff game even if the outcome might not be pretty. A hard road a difficult road but not an impossible road.

LOL

Did you even watch the game?

Duck was like a breath of fresh air, complete night and day difference the moment DUCK took over the offense, commanding in the pocket, decisive with decision making, accurate arm, no hesitation, all the things you want your QB to be and he was a WINNER!

Exact opposite of red nose in fact

**** him, those ***** win a few games and suddenly think they are a real big boy football team all the sudden. A good solid punch in the face from the defense would do that whole ******* group good, hopefully we deliver. ***** are two years removed from being an 0-16 dumpsterfire and they think it's time to start **** talking. ******* *****.

Now imagine if he had stud receivers.

Lol. Duck made one play. One. Reading this board you would swear the guy came off the bench and went 18-23 for 250 yards and 3 TD. The guy was holding onto the ball just like Rudolph, except he ran out of the pocket before he threw his check down, threw it away or threw incomplete. I guess he had more style than Rudolph.

Look, Rudolph obviously isn’t the answer. He has proven that. How bad must it be to say Hodges is so much better when the results are basically the same. I hope he starts and does well. Very well in fact. I think in the end, the results are ultimately going to be the same. That said, unlike our resident know it all, I will happily admit if I am wrong.

I think Duck at least tried to make / extend plays. Rudolph is about as mobile as Brady. Duck moves around in the pocket and bounces around, Rudolph pretty much just stands there flat footed which is why I feel his passes have no zip and are not very accurate. Duck was asked to do nothing in the SD game and he didnt have to due to the running game. He did give the offense a boost and scored 10 of our 16 points. I definitely think Duck at least deserves another shot. We have already seen what Rudolph brings to the table. As for the playoffs who wouldnt hope for a playoff game? Buffalo has a brutal schedule coming up they might not even make the playoffs....3 very tough games + us. Assuming we hold the #6 seed we would probably be looking at playing KC or HOU. I think we have a legit shot at beating HOU, KC not so much. There are a lot of IFs in there, but playoffs and 1 win is not out of the crazy realm of possibility.

I'm not trying to **** on Hodges. Far from it. I am simply stating an opinion based on what I have seen of him to this point. Rudolph should be done for the season as a starter. He can't handle it. I guess I just don't see the same things everyone else sees with Hodges, acting like he is so much better. Better? Maybe, but I just don't see where he is THAT much better. His stats don't bear that out for sure. I mean he rallied the Steelers for a win over the 0-11 Bengals. Yay.

With the play calling, protections, and WR's we have, I honestly can't even be sure that Big Ben would be that much better. I just think Fichtner is the biggest problem, rather than either QB. There are teams with scrubs top to bottom at WR that are more productive than the guys we have playing WR. Is it talent? I doubt it. Did losing Brown make that big of a difference? Sure, losing that talent is going to hurt, but this team is crippled in the passing game. Really? John Brown and Cole Beasley can get open, but JuJu, Washington and Diontae can't? Come on. I think a better scheme brings more success.

I mean, that cat Allen in Denver hasn't been awful. But Rudolph and Hodges are completely pedestrian? It's not a talent problem far as I'm concerned.
