I just heard Tomlin say he talked with Brown regarding his frustration with his stats. Did he walk Brown by the 6 Lombardi's and remind him that those are 6 Super Bowl trophies and not receiving trophies, just as he did with Willie Parker with the rushing titles speech?

Who cares...If Jones is playing next week he will get his looks....that is all Brown wants. Vick was just horrible.

Of course he wants the ball........ he hasn't went overboard yet.... so to me it is minor...

Perhaps he should be blocking on those long TD runs. Ward never would have run down the field without hitting someone. We could have sprung us in the first half if he blocked his guy. On Bryant's long run, he sprints down and doesn't make an attempt to hit anyone. That drives me nuts. Blocking can go a long way to making a difference in a game. He needs to learn that last aspect of it.

He was out in front blocking....then Bryant cut it back into the middle of the field and rambled into the EZ.

It looked like he semi-chewed Landry out after he threw the ball at Browns feet on that crossing pattern On Landry's second drive.

He needs to stop being so animated and demonstrative....hes a world class talent..don't go all Ocho or T.O. on your teammates....things will start to improve and the game will come easier now with Bryant re-establishing himself as the deep threat he showed last year. Antonio is gonna "re-explode" on the league.

Tomlin wont tolerate that BS.....

With Martavis back, AB better get used to not seeing every pass come his even when Ben is back. I love AB but hate the selfish attitudes some of these WRs have.

I agree, and that really bothered me. If I were a coach I would have pulled Brown to the side and told him "We need to build him up, not tear him down on his second drive". I understand he's competitive and perhaps with Ben out he feels like the ball in his hands gives them the best chance to win, but that was immature.

The likes of Randy Moss and Terrell Owens were absurdly selfish players, but they were largely driven to get the ball just for the sake of getting the ball and the attention that went with it, not so much stats.

Brown seems to take it to another level in that he seems overly preoccupied with numbers. It's pretty childish, even by diva WR standards.

Good lord some of you act like this is something new. Playmakers want the ball, it is part of their make up, what makes them the great players they are. Some of you act like it is something rare lol

It is like when Brown celebrates a first down, some people get upset, would you rather he not make a first down and have nothing to celebrate?

He (or the media) basically made up a stat that he has a record for. The five and 50 was one of the dumbest streaks in the history of streaks.

I am trying to figure out what he did exactly that caused all the bad press this morning .. being at the game we don't get to see all the sideline stuff - can someone tell me what he did exactly ??? ?

On Jones' 2nd possession - after he threw a TD pass to Bryant and was driving the team again - he threw a 3rd down crossing pass to Brown way too early. Jones had good protection and Brown was coming clear, and if Jones had waited, Brown is heading to the sidelines with the pass, the defender 4' behind him, and some room to run after getting the 1st down.

The pass hit Brown on the leg before he even had a chance to look for it. Brown was pissed about the pass and started yelling and waving at Jones, putting on a bit of a show about it being a bad pass.

Yeah, I think Jones knew it was a bad pass, Brown.

Swann and Stallworth apparently spent most of Bradshaws huddle time lobbying for the ball. Never heard them called selfish. But then we fans weren't as sophisticated in those days.

It's possible, just possible that Brown is beginning to understand that he maaaay not be so all-encompassing amazing without a particularly special QB to throw to him.

I'm not saying Brown isn't spectacular, but he hasn't been single-handedly winning games without Roethlisberger in there to toss him the ball, has he? Kinda shows you who the real money is on the team... I'm just sayin'.

And the team "enabled" the situation --- remember the Jacksonville game last year? Instead of kneeling down to win the game, we risked throwing a short pass to Brown just so he could keep the streak going.

He was also dressed quickly and out of the locker room before the press could get into the locker room.

Everything aside it is pretty clear how Brown has moved from a good receiver to an elite near the top. He deserves good money and should get it. But let's not break the bank either.

Really -- that is what all the BS is about -- I saw that -- I have seen BEN throw his arms up in disgust when someone runs the WRONG route. I also saw him talking to Landry a little later explaining something to him about the shoulder throws .. didn't look heated to me .. You guys read more into things.

Making things out of nothing .. of course the media will do it they want a story .. I don't think that it is a big deal ..

You never, ever call out your QB on the field like that. Thats embarrassing to that player and is very unprofessional on AB's part. This kid had enough pressure on him and everyone's doubting eyes cast upon him so the last thing he needs is a confidance destroyer like what AB pulled. Hats off to Landry who earned my respect by his play on the field and his ability to shake off what Brown pulled on him.

Exactly. Especially on the 2nd possession of his career! For what this is worth, I remember reading an article a few months back where a question was presented to Brown about would you rather win a super bowl or be a hall of famer? His answer? I wanna go to the hall of fame. Now, I get that every player wants that title And prestige of going into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. I'm sure a lot of players would love to have that honor. But what does that say about his thoughts of overall team success? Geeze the guy couldn't even take the high road and just say that he wanted a super bowl ring so that one day this wouldn't be brought up. And I'm certain most of you are going to have something to say about this but, think of this: what would Ben Roethlisberger have said if he was presented with the same exact question? Or Hines Ward? Or just about any other player that has played for the Steelers? And after hearing the commotion this offseason about him bitching about his contract, is it really surprising? Look, I love Brown as much as anyone and I think he's definitely one of the best at what he does. However, he seems to be toeing the line a bit. And for the record, I also like that Tomlin told him he's going to be judged on how many Lombardi's this team wins, not receiving titles.

nothing. people just need **** to ramble about.

Kind of funny how Ben didn't get the same opportunity to get his one yard last year to have sole possible of the passing title, a Stat that is kind of imporant in the overall schem of things for a HOF bound QB. just sayin.

Ben probably didn't whine or throw a hissy fit and probably not a member of the "young money" gang either.

Salute the nation
