No need to make #84 feel more important than he already does. Someone else will eventually get that number.
Others have stated a nameplate change may be a better idea, although I have no idea what it would cost to do that.
Yeah, why stoop to his level of idiocy? If you want some sort of vengeance, just ignore him. He's obviously screaming for attention. Being ignored and forgotten by a rabid fanbase that once adored him will put him in his place.

I'd never burn a jersey and as in some previous Jerseys, I just hang them deeper in the closed or storage tote. To much of HARD earned money to just burn.
Although, this young chick waitress at my sports bar was wearing a bronco jersey and I asked her if she really was a bronco fan and she said no, she just has it on as it's something she had. I said I'd trade her a STEELERS jersey if she would wear it all the time at work, she agreed.
I brought it in the next week and she grabbed my hand and led to the ladies room and changed in front of me (nice surprise). Here's the kicker, back out in the bar I lit the bronco jersey on fire (nylon don't burn worth a ****) I took it outside and let it burn all the way, the shouting and whooping was awesome.
So the moral of the story is I'd BURN a clowns raiders jersey and someone else's steelers brown jersey if they need me to.!
Salute the nation

This isn't Cleveland. We don't stoop to stunts like this. Can someone in Pittsburgh organize this & get some news coverage?
It is time people: A big old AB #84 Jersey Burn Bonfire in the Burgh......
Any takers?
I think one of the radio stations already did that at Totin's Diner in Wexford near my office.
I'm going to go here and get a Grossman nameplate for my #84 jersey: http://shop.thenamechanger.com/

Next time a reporter asks any Steeler about AB, they should all answer the same way: "Who is that? I'm sorry, which player are you asking about? Oh, the guy playing for the Raiders..."
As far as us fans, let's stay positive and focus on the WR's we have. There's a lot to like.
