He was supposed to come to an autograph and picture thing from 530 to 630, he showed up at 6:10 and said he couldn't do pics and signed for 30 mins, people who were in line got shut out, kids were outside crying. Then he shows up 30 mins late to his radio show every week. Why the hell does he even agree to do this **** if he's going to big time everyone?

I've met Brown over 10 times and he's always been super nice to me. People have bad days. No one knows the details of this dumb appearance at Planet Fitness. I've had Jerome Bettis and Hines Ward act like ******** around me before.. Greg Lloyd told me to go **** myself when I was 8 years old. Kevin Greene punted a dudes football at training camp one year.

Antonio always bends over backwards for the fans. During preseason games he's had the ball boys come get jerseys from me and take them over to him so he can sign them. He gave me his gloves from one of the preseason games. I was at a signing in Robinson a few years ago and I wasnt paying attention and they had him sign something in the wrong spot / wrong color and it hardly shows up ..so I was complaining and I was the last one thru the line and he went out of his way to ask me what I needed cause I was complaining.

I know you have a hard on for him for whatever Coryea..ever since he missed the signing in California. You posted that one too.

I just post what I hear, I don't have a hard on for him, I don't go to autograph signings, but he has to be at training camp and preseason games, it's the events he doesn't HAVE to be at that he seems to care less about. I'm just calling him on it, it's a douche move to say you're going to do a signing and show up 40 mins late, and only sign for 30 mins while people have been in line for an hour waiting. Why is it so bad to call him douche for that?

All you know about it is the hear say from the news story about the lady mad cause he didn't talk to her. There's millions of situations that couldve caused all this that would be vaild. Just like there's tons of reasons that are invaild.

This kind of reminded me of a trip way BACK in the day when I could afford those... I might get a flame but here goes. It was at three rivers and the ratbirds vs the STEELERS. Kordell Stewert was sacked 5 times in that's game. We won but after the game you wait out side by the door the players exit, you had to stay on the opposite side of street. Players would come out some would sign some not. But when Stewert came out he was kind of intent on leaving. Everyone wanted his autograph and he abliged a few then when he was leaving I hollared out my home town and state and I'd traveled this far for my beloved STEELERS. He stopped and had security form a circle around him and came across to see me. Not only did he sign but he chatted for about 3-5minutes. He was awesome. Others had told me that was unusual as he blew a lot of things off and sometimes he left fans high and dry. I'm just saying until we've lived in their shoes, we don't know the circumstances of their actions. AB is as hard a working as you'll find towards the team. What he does on his own time is just that, his own time. Think of it this way, if you were bombarded to stay 1hr late from work every day or you could sneak out the back, I'd bet you'd take the back door occasionally.

If you say you're going to do something,do it! Don't half *** it.The fans are the lifeblood from which they flow. Without them there's no NFL. No multimillion dollar contracts. No tv gigs. No dancing with the stars.A ton of people adore players. For kids it could be a magic moment they'll never forget. Go all in or don't even bother with it. Pretty simple.

yeaaaahhh gitchyoo some, Antonio!

I don't care about after games or practices, I know they aren't always in the mood to sign then that's to be expected, but you agree to be there, then be there.
The guys on DVE always get on his **** about stiffing them for HIS radio show that he sometimes doesn't show up for or shows up for the last 15 mins of.

When I was working for the Ravens in 2000, The players practiced on the lower field, about 2/10mi from the upper field. There was a fenced walkway for people to stand along to get signatures. Priest Holmes was always the last man back to the locker room. He'd stay and sign for EVERYONE. Pictures, stories, he didn't care if it took an extra hour. I had the pleasure of spending a couple hours with him 1 on 1 during an autograph signing. I said I was really impressed on how he would stay and sign everyone's autograph. He said, "We are blessed to be able to paid as much as we are to play football. It is my job to make sure no one goes home without a picture or an autograph, because they are the ones that make this possible/" He got it.

Ray Lewis and Ogden used to jump in the golf cart to avoid interacting with the fans. After his run in with the law in Atlanta, that stopped, and he was walking and signing with the rest of them. He just rarely engaged or spoke with fans. He was probably on edge from getting away with murder...

And you used them to cover up your boobs. Or someone is using them to cover her boobs. Or........

I was lucky enough to be on the same plane as Antonio back in 2013 off season.. I was headed to Vegas. I was wearing a Steelers Training camp tshirt. He came up to me and introduced himself to me.(like I didn't know who he was) He offered to sign my tshirt, signed a steeler hat I had and talked to me till we boarded. He was in 1st class and of course boarded before me but as I walked by, He made it a point to talk to me again

I have been able to get his autograph every time I have gone to training camp.

I am glad he is a Steeler

Not sure what to make of Antonio. Met him on the first Steelers cruise. He was nice; we even hung out for awhile. I actually taught the guy how to play craps. He thought I looked like Heath Miller. Ran into him again on the second cruise later at night at one of the bars. My son, who was 8 at the time and not with me on the trip (he plays wide receiver in tackle football), asked me naively before I left if I could get Antonio's phone number. I told him that I would try. I relayed this rather cute story offhand to Brown, and he said, "Sure, I can give you my number. Have your son call me, and I'll give him some tips."

Now, as you can imagine, I was just about as giddy as a 44 year old father could be. Elated, I almost ran back to my cabin, put the digits in a safe place, and called my son from the next port to tell him I had a huge surprise for him. When he got the news, he was just floored. Told all his buddies at school, couldn't wait to give #84 a call. Because Brown had actually flown from Mexico directly to L.A. to start filming, I said let's wait a little, he's on Dancing with the Stars right now, let's not bug the guy. So I had him wait.

Long story short, when we did finally contact him...nothing. No answer, no call back, no text back, even after I texted him the picture some broad took of the two of us together that night to help him understand who I was.

I was truly saddened and disappointed, not to mention feeling like a real anal pore while trying to explain to my kid how/why one of his favorite players just totally blew us off. I went with...Oh well. Maybe we waited too long and his phone number changed. I'm sorry. Yeah, maybe. I'm still wondering myself.

All I know is what I heard on the radio and they said the autograph signing was supposed to start at 4:30 in Irwin and some people in line noticed that he was live streaming on Facebook from Steelers training facility on the South Side at 4:20. If you're not from here I will tell you that South Side to Irwin takes an hour in the best of times and afternoon rush hour on the Parkway East is not the best of times.
If you don't want to be bothered doing autograph signings then don't agree to do autograph signings, but don't agree to do it and then be a douchebag about it.

Good lord, is everyone here always on time to things they say they are going to? Could be any number of reasons why he couldn't make it on time. Maybe the guy should just not agree to do anything at all for fans that way none of them can be disappointed.

Yeah, my wife bought me a birthday present of a meet and greet ticket to meet Joe Greene, Joe Porter and Larry Foote at a Steeler golf tournament...except...they all blew it off...douche bags I guess.

You know how we cancel some appointments in life for one reason or another?

Same thing I tell Latrobe fans, you go hoping for a signature, but know anything can happen where that doesn't happen.

If you want signatures go to camp, the high school practice they hold yearly, or to autograph meets than have 4 or 5 Steelers players attending.

I got Antonio's the first one from him, in his rookie year at Latrobe.

Sure when they get a bigger head perhaps you get less of them. He is still better than some other Steelers that I know that never signed.

But if you don't want to be disappointed, perhaps use your head on the best time, and best approach to getting them.

Believe it or not there is ways to get them easier than the every day fan.....................

This is the first negative story I have heard about AB in his entire time with the team. All I ever hear is how outgoing he is with the fans. Hopefully, this isn't a sign of what's to come - him getting bored with so much fandom and looking for greener pastures. There aren't any greener pastures than the Steelers and their fans.

I bet he is in a better mood next offseason when he gets his 15 mil per year.

Well ****. This would have made me highly pissed.
