Brown and Rooney Agree to Mutual Breakup

Letting him sit out all season would be funny, but it doesn't help the team. It would be a constant conversation. I dont know about yinz but I'm ready for the drama to end with Bell and AB and get back to football talk.

I have to say I am on the same page with you.

He just bitched his way into the last contract. Now he plays a couple years on the mega deal. He wants out, but publically says he wants out which hamstrings them. Then he says he wants more money from the new team which is the really sweet trade value. Play it or lose your 35 million. I dont give a ****. Gotta say the day this ******** is not on the roster will be a very happy day in my world. I dont care where he goes. Whoever offers the most can have him. Just **** off AB.

AB crying that he wants more guaranteed money makes this trade so there really is no way we get a No. 1 for him.

I’m sure Mr.Rooney explained to him that all this nonsenses he’s pulling on social media limits the amount of teams that may potentially want to trade for him. If we don’t get a deal we like we won’t just give him away so shut the **** up and do your part in helping us find you your next team. Unfortunately we need to apeize the piece of crap for a little while so we can get fair value for him. Come on Raiders.. #24 and # 27 to go with pick # 20 would sure go a long way towards filling the few missing pieces we have left on our roster.

The other (locked) thread had a great post by Super Dave. Since it wasn't moved over here, I'll repost it:

Super Dave: "And it looks like AB, his Agent Drew Rosenhaus, Art2, Kevin Colbert, and Omar Kahn were in attendance. Glad to see our head coach has both hands firmly on the wheel."

No ****, where was Tomlin? Perhaps he abstained because he did not know who's side he'd be on.

Trade him to NFC team with crap quarterback for a 1st rounder. If that deal doesn't happen, let him sit. We can fine him/suspend him when he doesn't show up for work and make him run with the scout team and de-activate him on game days when he does. It would be worth the money just to watch his whiney ***** *** self destruct!

Maybe a deal has already been struck and the Steelers are waiting until the new NFL league year to announce it?

Well if they did, I bet the team with which they had the agreement wasn't planning to dump in a bunch of guaranteed cash. Useless POS.

Has anyone in the Steeler organization actually been quoted with what transpired, or is it all AB?

Highly doubt the front office is giving any accounting of what transpired as they are concerned with, well you know, actual business side of the trade. A-N-D not sure who you are talking about, unless you are referring to Mr. Big Chest......................................

Salute the nation

Could it be possible to void the contract and release him so he’s free to sign with whoever he wants for whatever he wants?

The Steelers should trade him to the practice squad....

Sorry but at this point, I let Antonio ***** sit all year...

ok, duly noted. that's not going to happen. next suggestion, please.

Very well could be what AB wants. Steelers will try to trade him no matter what. But AB isn't smart enough to grasp that.

Now you know full well Justin someone is going to have a problem with whatever happens with Brown or Bell and have all the answers as to could’ve, would’ve, should’ve.

IIRC the CBA prohibits formal coach interactions after the season ends and through the first OTAs.

They need to get max value for either of them. Business is business. Tell AB to shut the **** up and get out of the way so you can deal him. Transition tag Bell and get whatever the team who signs him will give you. Then move on. Under no circumstance do you give a discount or you may as well sell the team. If you cave every crybaby *** player from now on will pull the same ****. You can't do it.

What a punk ***...he will want a new deal with guarantees-**** him. He knows damn well he'd get every penny of his current deal from the Rooneys. This sounds more and more about money and his ego and not Ben or Tomlin. Although Tomlin created this monster. He's scaring more teams off by the day. If he tanks his trade value they should deal him to the worst team they can.

If there is ANy way the Steelers can suspend his signing bonus and use that money to pay Shazier and or bring him in as a coach or something they should do it.

Unless we’re playing against him I will not waste my time thinking talking about or obsessing over this person. He’s dead to me now. Cut the dead weight out and sail on.

Go Steelers!
