Broncos own us

when you throw the ball 31 times in one half against a team with one of the worst running defenses in the league then the coaches have some responsibility. Even Neon Deion Sanders said the original game plan was wrong.

I don’t fully disagree, but the times they did run in the first half, it was largely ineffective. The only instance where we really had any nice gains was the drive that Conner fumbled.

Hardly an “*** whippin.” Dude, you expect your best players to take care of the God damn football, and make the plays that are there. I don’t care if you had Chuck Noll, Vince Lombardi, and Bill Walsh roaming the sideline on a teams coaching staff; when your players turn the damn ball over that many times, you’re not going to win. I’m fairly certain not a single coach schemes all week to turn the ball over more times than the other team. This loss is squarely on the lack of execution by our best offensive players. My biggest issue with the coaching staff today was the blocked kick; Denver did it three times this year; why they didn’t try a hard count to get that son of a ***** to leap is beyond me.

The original game plan was bad... too many passes.

The first drive had 10 plays not one run. The 2nd drive that was a TD drive if Grimble doesn't fumble had 12 plays and 6 runs. 3rd drive had 9 plays and 1 run. 4th drive had 12 plays and 1 run.

So they never even tried to establish the run. They went in guns blazing.

And were moving the ball quite liberally. The first INT had zero to do with their pass D as the ball went right to their player.

You could argue that the 2nd did too. Announcers kept saying the DL dropped back. It looked equally likely he was pushed back by pouncey. Either was was irrelevant, the best result for that pass was incomplete since another D player was there. That was a bad decision on Ben's part.

The error, IMO, was the passes on that last 1st and goal. They were stacking the line for a run, but with our OL you gotta run it 2x. If you dont make it, that gives you better ability to play action on 3rd and 4th.

And it pretty much worked. Moved the ball with ease as they had 25 first downs, over 500 yards of offense, and 35 minutes of time of possession. Don't hand the Broncos the ball four times and they dominate today.

Back to the schedule, it's brutal in terms of teams that own the Steelers. Five teams that have historically had no problems beating the Steelers in six weeks: Jaguars, Broncos, Raiders, Patriots, Saints. They are 1-1 so far. Raiders is a must win.

Vader, they were lining up with 10 in the box. They were daring us to pass, and we did it well.

Yep.

The O played a sloppy *** game, and Ben did his best Russell Wilson impersonation at the end.

They need to clean up the INTs and fumbles on O. That will key how far they go this year.

As i think the coaching has improved, Enough talent is there provided they play to their potential.

Still not sold on Huckleberry Butler.

We didnt deserve to beat the Jags with all our turnovers so the football gods evened the score this time.

Has Ben announced his retirement yet?

The first INT was a clear pass int or hold on AB, the DB grab AB by the hip and totally turned him as Ben was releasing the pass. That ball hits AB in stride if not, huge miss by the refs.
On the 2, late, you have to try a run there on 1st, at the very least line up in a run formation. Their FG kicker has a big leg, run, if you get stopped you kill clock.

It’s a well kept secret that Tomlin will be fired with another one and done in the playoffs and Munchak promoted. 3-7 in the last ten playoff games? Goodbye.

Ben has said some nice things about Munchak in the past. With a defensive draft and maybe a 3rd round pick on a receiver we can go to another super bowl.

Removing Omar Epps is paramount.

So, your contention is that, in the playoffs, if Ben throws 2 INT's, one in the end zone, and we lose the game, Tomlin should be fired.

I would say our turnovers own us. 2 of our 4 turnovers were self inflicted.

Coach they are not firing Tomlin.

Not with the team winning. Just not the Rooney way.

If any coach gets fired anyway it should be Butler.

But with the D improving that won't happen either.

I do want the coaches to get on the players and clean up the sloppiness,

Hopefully we will see that moving forward. Perhaps start a new streak.

For weeks after the first game, you saw Connor making sure he had a good hold on the ball when he was about to get hit. He got sloppy on one play, it happens. Well, maybe, sloppy on others where it didn't hurt us, I guess.

I expected to lose this game. We always play like warmed over **** in Denver.

It's a well kept secret? By whom? And how the **** would you know and who in their right mind would tell you?

And for some reason it seems they always get stuck playing in Denver. I think it's been like 10 years since they've won out there.

Coach,.........how the hell is it a well kept secret?????? It's false news weather you started it or not. There has been NO talk of TOMLIN being fired, NOT by the owners or any secret keeper.

SPECULATION may have been the word you are looking for but even then MOST people know CMVLT is going no where.

It wouldn’t be a secret if everyone knew.

If it's a well kept secret, but how do you know about it? Is there inside inside info that only a certain few outside the owners know about? It sounds more like wishful thinking than fact.

To be fired, they would have to lose all of the games going down the stretch and miss the PO, but even then, I don't think he gets canned. He'd need two or three really subpar seasons and not make the PO. By that time, Ben will be done and who knws what will happen then.

It always seems to involve RBs fumbling, Fitz in the 2015 playoffs, Connor yesterday, Worley or Merrill in 1989.

I still like Since the Superbowl on the W/L so we don't have to include the wins to get there.
