Bringing Berry Back?

why we keeping punter on PS then?

I have the same question. I never saw a team keep a punter on the PS. Highly questionable.

Then again we are a team that spent a 6th round pick on a long snapper, only to cut him.

I'm sure there are better punter's out there. I hope the Steelers check out the CFL guys. Most of them kick in outdoor stadiums, which makes them a bit more impressive when the weather gets cold.

The only problem with the CFL punters is they don't breed coffin kickers. They're all trying to score touchbacks so they can earn a rouge (or 1 pt) for the touchback...

Kordell Stewart banged out an 80 yarder, wonder where he is at ???

I'd try BEN on a "DROP" kick, yaz never know.......

EDIT: I think the last successful "drop" kick in the NFL was by Doug Flutie.
Kordell was last seen with his now-ex-wife on "Real Housewives of Atlanta".

Was that show their demise or did she finally get tired of him coming up short......???

I never watched it but it probably didn't help.
The only reality TV shows I watch involve things with engines that go fast.

Per Mark Kaboly- Colquitt has been released and speculating that Corliss Waitmann will get the nod Sunday.

Assuming Berry has come and gone, or was the rumor of the planned visit even true?

He did a tryout, but he would need to clear covid protocol to be able to play, and he doesn't have enough time to do it this week.

Actually if he started his testing the day of his tryout and clears all 3 tests, he could play this Sunday, because he would clear on Sat. This might be why the Steelers didn't promote the punter today. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Another thought...to Coach's point, why did they keep a punter on the PS? Potential answer, they liked the kid and wanted to work with him a bit before putting him on the field. They knew Colquitt did not have a big leg. Colquitt held the fort until they felt the kid was ready and that time is now. Bringing Berry in for a look was just due diligence in case the stage turns out to be too big for the kid on Sunday.

Punters are used too much in the NFL....

4 downs to get 10 yards is a pretty high probability. I do like that Tomlin isn't punting much when we are on the oppositions side of the field...

Dale at DKPS said 5 days to bring a guy in through covid protocols. I thought it was three from the start of the season. Perhaps it changed after the Titans bit?
