He's tall, has long arms and good speed. Sure he's raw, but he's raw at corner too and will likely never start there.

So let him add 10 pounds, work on tackling and give it a try? He has the height and speed to match up with the better TE's in football.

#nothing to lose.

We have two started Safeties that need to be replaced. But you knew that already.

Could Allen make the switch?

Shows the idiocy of your agenda. Allen hasn’t made the switch to CB yet, an easier position than either safety spot. Yet you already think he is better than a vet and 2 year starter.

Hope Santa brings something to replace your Abby Normal brain.

Considering that Carnell Lake said it was a possibility when they drafted him...

I personally was thinking of switching him to WR.....thoughts?

It won’t matter to Ike. Not even Santa can help him!

But Allen might make a better free safety than cornerback. Might not be quick enough for corner but with his length and speed could make a fine support safety vs the pass.

Tall safeties rule! Danny Farmer says hi...

I think JuJu showed some amazing physicality with that hit on burfict and considering how young and talented he is, and how quickly he picked up the playbook is it possible he could make the switch to safety? I mean he's big, he's physical, and he's smart, plus he understands route concepts and he'd be able to cover those big TEs, it could work........

*sarcasm alert*

This all may be true enough but the reality is....not this year, fur shur. Truth bees that we got what we got and that's all we got for now.

So let's just take what we got and make the best of a good season, finish strong and see what happens. All this speculation is cool to kill some time I guess, but meaningless in the whole scheme of things.

But....but...but....one of your eponymous tag lines.... Allen is two years away from being a contributor in the DB line up, whether it's CB or safety. Why even bring it up now? Cope has nailed it. It seems you just start threads just to put out passive statements so as to say "I was right!" in the future. Such the attention seeker.

If you are watching the games we have three decent cornerbacks. So he’s not getting in the field soon baring an injury as a corner. I question if Allen is quick enough to cover certain routes at corner.

But none of our safeties can cover. I think Allen is better suited for safety. He’s tall and fast, perhaps a player to match up with TE’s or prevent jump ball like throws.

Ya want me to bump a thread? Didn’t I tell you Haley was going to put Boswell in the pro bowl?

Actually I’ve been saying the Boz has pro ability for a while.

And if you want a new prediction so does juju.

Actually....there are 4 CBs which will make sure Allen probably never see a snap at CB for the foreseeable future. Oh, BTW even when we HAD injuries....Sutton, Haden and Sensabaugh, Allen never played DB while even dressed. He was ST only.

Haley's responsible for Boz success? He doesn't make the decision to kick FGs. Before you pipe in the offense is struggling because of him.....last I saw, we have the #1 rated RB, WR, Ben is currently ranked behind Marcia for #2. Yeah....you are a genius.

Been saying "for a while" Boz is pro bowl material huh? Prove it and list the posts that shows it.

Wow...what a stretch...Juju. Only every other talking head has been talking about him for a couple months now.....

Typical....Stuart Smalley.

Hey....you are only close to over being 2 weeks late with that blog. Which was an op ed, not an actual statement. Keep up the entertainment.

UM Ike, take off those shades for a moment. My initial post was 12-23-2017,*12:59 PM

So you might want to say I was ahead of the curve my many months on the comment. That is if you want to be honest and truthful :)

You remain the Dunning - Kruger of this board.

I think I might bump some of my older posts with updated Steelers news at later dates, I do agree with you it can be fun.
