Well, he better hope they draft Olinemen in the next two rounds or he isn't going to have much fun this year and will look like a bust and worthless pick that will get this team no closer to any type of postseason success! Like the player, don't get me wrong but the way our oline looks right now is scary as hell!

Well that solves the RB issue. Now blocking for the guy is front and CENTER!

Man Alabama sure put a **** ton of first round draft picks in this year. That has to do well for future recruiting.

Yeah, they need to give him #32. Wouldn’t even need to change anything

Excited to have Harris in the backfield. The best player at his position in the draft and is a 3-down back. Gotta get him some maulers on the OL now.

Whatever team drafts Alabama's Najee Harris is getting a special person. Today he threw a draft party for kids at the homeless shelter where he lived for several years growing up. He told me it was emotional the first time he went back to visit. @kron4news #NFLDraft

trade up a bit in Round 2 and grab Jenkins.

They just don't have the draft capital this year to trade up. It would cost them one of their 4th round picks, when they NEED a center, LT, CB, OLB, TE and ILBer. They have bodies at those positions now, need to upgrade basically every spot to player. Also team does not have a 5th round selection. So moving up to grab Jenkins - love him, make no mistake - means they have just three picks between rounds 2 and the latter part of the 6th.

I'm 4 for 5 on first picks.
Watt, missed on Edmunds but so should have they (wanted Vander Eshe but gone), Bush, Claypool, Harris

Drafting Najee Harris makes the Steelers SuperBowl Contenders this season. No longer are they a one-dimensional offense with Najee Harris back there and he's a 3 down NFL caliber RB....day one starter. Exactly what they needed.

As for the O-line it's certainly needs improvement but I think Depth is lacking on the Steelers O-line. The starting O-line on paper doesn't look bad but lacks in game experience as a group that should improve as the season progresses. I know we lost Big Al, Feiler & Pouncey since last season but I don't feel Big Al & Feiler were a great loss and Hassenhauer played pretty good last season in Pouncey's absence. Okorafor, Dotson, Hassenhauer, DeCastro & Banner for a starting O-line I think Dotson & Banner are complete road graters in the running game. A few mid-round picks for some depth to bolster that O-line incase of injuries and I think they will be ok.

Let's not forget the Steelers also need CB as they lost, Nelson, Hilton & Justin Layne (might be in the dog house with recent events)

I think Steven Nelson is still floating around out there in Free Agency....maybe they can somehow get him back this season on a 1 year deal.

Checking out his bio and interviews...seems like a special guy. Did his draft party at the homeless shelter he lived in as a kid....hardcore.

Love the pick. Got a franchise-type back to fill a glaring need. They can still find help for the offensive line on day 2.

You don't want Hassenhauer starting at C for an entire season. I seem to remember him offering little push and often getting blown back. If one of the top Centers is there when the Steelers pick in the 2nd or 3rd (depending on value), you take him and immediately make Hassenhauer the third best Center on the team; and a likely practice squad candidate.

I find it hard to be optimistic about the OL right now.

Okorafor was the worst OL on the unit last year and is shifting to LT. Maybe he’ll be better there but he’s bad at run blocking and meh in pass protection.

Dotson had a good year with his pass blocking but did not live up to his pre-draft hype on the ground. He has potential in this area and the ground game was better when he was in there.

Hassenhauer was bad. BJ Finney is not good. The Steelers need a starting center because as of today they have the worst talent in the league at the position

DeCastro had a down year and you hope it was due to injuries and not aging.

Banner flashes potential as a dominant run blocker. Subpar in protection.

A whole lot of “hope” for the talent to perform better on the OL and Canada/Klemm to coach/scheme better.

Excellent pick. Now time to get him an OL.

You underestimate Harris vision, surprising quickness for a man his size and ability to make defenders miss.

Harris has a excellent stiff arm, can jump over defenders coming in low, juke them out or run them over. He has what I would call competitive speed.
