I'd expect at least 2 other pre-season games to be canceled as well.

You already purchased your event tickets for this didn't you Slash?
At least this way you should get to go next year........rather than holding the event with no fans........that would really have sucked for Troy , Bill and Donnie
Sorry about the disappointment:rain:

I'm happy from the aspect of not having two of my favorite Steelers not end up with a bullshit video conference enshrinement. It will he proper, just next year.

They will give us a refund option on the 6th. There is an option to convert it for next year or a full refund. Just got an email...

Good.

This could be the year that shows us how meaningless pre-season is. College football for example has no pre-season. IMO there should be an all rookie / 1st year player game and just two regular pre-season games. That's enough. Just two per-season game for the veterans. The Coaches should be smart enough to pick the roster after 30+ practices. Schedule a scrimmage is needed with another team.

So if we are losing a preseason game will all teams lose at least one preseason game to even up the preparation time?

That's basically how I see it.

Better yet, just set up a couple of scrimmages with teams at each other's practice facilities and be done with it.

The problem is there's no money in that for the teams. They just have to sell tickets and broadcasting rights for those extra four games of garbage football.

We had five preseason games scheduled. This puts us even with everyone else.
