I've been high on this kid since the middle of the college football season and now I think Pro Scouts will start to take more interest in this kid.

If you watched him today at the combine you can't help but be impressed. He stood out from the rest of the QB hopefulls.

He's was projected as a 6th or 7th round pick but now he will move up the draft boards....where who knows but I'd really like to see the Steelers take a chance on this kid!

What I take from everything is the Steelers will come away with a QB from this class at some point. I am thinking between 2 and 5 depending on who is available.

I have a lotta faith the Steelers will nail this QB pick.
Having seen a good bit of Cook in college I’m fairly confident our staff could misuse him and make him look like a late round prospect.

When Ewers visited with Mike we were one of only 2 teams that didn’t have him draw up any plays on the white board.

That’s some next level Jedi scouting Mike is doing
He simply feels if the QB has the force within him to avoid the middle of the field at all costs.

They should just send Mike away and let competent minds do the player meetings AND lock Mike outta the war room on draft day.

Ewers is not a QB I would ever take in the draft. His accuracy on his throws is not good and as for his long balls....they are really bad!

When I think of the kid I just use the first two letters…

Ew

Mike Tomlin “White Board is “code” for two vanilla Ice cream cones, one for me and one for Ew” ……………

Salute the nation

I got to see Cook's combine workout...he throws a nice deep ball. I thought he "won" the go-route drill.

Cook and Tyler Shough were tge two potential 7th round QBs I wanted... Shough is 26, so he may still fall late, but he showed far greater mobility at tge combine than his current scouting reports show, abd he probably was one of the best pocket QBs in this draft already

Like I said on some mocks, if he is there late... he absolutely is worth a pick... because there is a chance either of these guys could be a long term solution, but both likely at worse are cheap, good third stringers with potential..
