Bostic Gone

That....was a failed experiment. Pair that with the signing of Morgan Burnett and last year's free agent signing period was......unsuccessful.

With Barron, White & Sutton now in the mix, not surprising. Had no special teams value either.

Welp, hope you had fun, Johnny boy

It was fair to him. You had only so many positions and his play was diminishing last year. You have Bush and Barron taking up looks. And perhaps one of the later picks. He was a liability against the pass.

He did have some good run defense moments, but not enough to stick apparently....

In another thread mentioned was Dirty Red, but Red is good at special teams and that has a value.

Oh also if someones projections were accurate adding cap savings with this release. I believe the Steelers to be at approx 5 mil under the cap...

But he knew the system.

Maybe we'll have a new system. :)

I'm pretty sure this is sarcasm because if not then who will install the new system...........Would it be our new DC ....????????

Kinda expected. Probably Metakavich will be hanging on because of Sp. Teams. But maybe not. He gave a good shot. Full effort. I never saw an NFL Linebacker that bowed up in his stance since the 80s. Thanks for the effort Bostic. Both the big FA adds last year are gone. Hope this year is better.

With their contracts, neither of them were supposed to be starters let alone the answer. Just depth.

I'm I the only one that finds this concerning?
" Concerning". Regarding what? Depth? Cap space? Bostics family? He probably has the same skills as v will, and yet the eassier contract to bail on. We just picked up Barron and some rookies and a number one who they for sure count on starting week 1

I don't think there is anykind of story here. Daft a #1 and sign a better option, writing on the wall. Good luck in his life's work, weather another team or real life.

They were plugging roster holes hoping the rookies or someone else would step up. Now he's been replaced. No reason to sugarcoat it, Bush is going to get significant playing time.

My concern is what’s our options if Bush does not provide NFL caliber ability in his rookie season? Barron is not an ILB and now there is next to nothing to move in to... Big Red and the Rookie late round pick that seems like he would make a fine civil war reinactor are not options
