“Blown away” by Aaron Rodgers

Sounds like the starting lyrics of a weird Al Yankovic song 👍

Careful, with this kind of encouragement next thing you know he will be singing songs with Bell and AB.

Lunar will open strip and walk outa this popsicle stand and go rouge on us.

Pr4obably end up putting on LIVE concerts over at the trailer park.

I will call it The Double Wide Tour.

I'll add this... the remainder of our schedule is no cake walk. I fully expect the team to keep the momentum going...

Your optimism against all past proof the Steelers have put on tape is admirable

I fully expect 5 weeks from now the Rats will be in the lead for the division and Steelers will be on the outside looking in as one of the top “in the hunt” teams for a playoff spot.

The Ravens could lose 4 or more out of the next 9 games. They have double headers against us and the Bungals, plus GB and NE... it will not be a cake walk for them climbing out that hole...

A good question for yinz.

The majority of us including myself didn’t want Rodgers for various reasons.
How do you feel now?

I have to say that I’m glad he’s a Steeler.
I didn't want him but as soon as he signed he was a Steeler. So I will root for him.

I am just glad Tomlin scrapped his "offensive" offensive philosophy. I wish we would move on defensively now also.

He’s got some good stats, mainly because of his effiency in the red zone, but he’s a far cry from MVP Rodgers. Passer rating is based largely on completion pct and TD, credit for the latter as I said but he’s dinking and dunking. The passing game is still very limited.

We’re also a Burrow and Jackson injury from being in 3rd place most likely.

Feels like a mirage.

Next four games:

BAL: @MIN, @CLE, NYJ, CLE
PIT: @LAC, CIN, @CHI, BUF

I could easily see them tied when they meet in 5 weeks.

The waiting game turned me off horrifically, like so many others.

Once he was signed I welcomed him aboard and have been very pleased with his demeanor and ability to fling the rock.

It’s not just his win / loss column, but also behind the scenes things he’s doing.

All indications are Will Howard is capitalizing big time on his experience with Aaa-Ron’s mentorship. that is huge.

Agreed but methinks Young Howard is taking notes and getting his game skills polished. One more year under the sensei would be ideal...

From most accounts, Will is thriving off this mentorship from Aaa-Ron.

Aaa-Ron continuously brings him into discussions etc.

10-7 could win the division, dang it’s been a long time since this division was this weak.

Didn’t say it would be a cake walk, and the Steelers have shown before that they can be the pile (the only known predator of the hole) they could easily bring their shovels and start filling the hole to assist the Rats.

I believe it will take them 5 weeks to erase that 2 game lead the Steelers have. Hope I’m wrong cuz I can’t stand the Rats.

Moving into the final four it could set up a very important week 18 matchup for the division, a fairly likely scenario…provided the Steelers don’t just **** the bed and hand them the division walking away. I’d predict 9-7 Steelers facing 8-8 Rats holding the edge on tiebreaker

I see your Saying the Ravens could lose 4 of the 9 and raise you the Steelers could lose 5 of the next 5…how many seasons has it been since Mike had one of his 5 game collapses down the stretch 🤣
Anything can happen, it’s football. Looking at the Rats schedule 6-3 looks most probable to me which makes their matchups against the Steelers pretty crucial.

Just like I felt the Colts game was a playoff game I’m feeling the same way about this Chargers game. Momentum and confidence are both huge factors on a football team. Do the Steelers build on that very fortunate game vs the Colts or do they go out West and fold? A win is huge for confidence and momentum, hopefully Aaron gives another one of his motivational talks the night before the game again. A loss and well, we’ve all seen that season unfold before where we waste a division lead in the back 9.

So, you think we lose to Cincy again?

My confidence says that the biggest game, during that stretch for us, is Buffalo. Let's be honest - this Buffalo team is not a scary as years past and their record shows it.

A-A Ron is exactly what the team needs over the last 9 games - if the skill players can simply 'do their part by catching the ball' - I'm calling 2 losses at a maximum; but, I'm like that...

I think our Steelers are going to surprise us, but make it a very close surprise. Seems like to many want to blame someone, win or lose. I think if a person looks at the final score a little more, they will be happier without all the blame-game.

I get the frustration build up, hella……. I’m guilty as heck too. The movie has been played more than a Marilyn Monroe pin-up in the barracks.

We all don’t want a Groundhog Day situation, and most are waiting till the team can prove otherwise.

I think after the next 5 game stretch we are either still leading the NORTH or tied record-wise but have tie breaker.

Obviously things can change and my hopes are for the better, of course.

excuse me while I fart in your general direction, @bermudasteel (and **** Alabama. Rowl Tide you inbred hick!!!)

Aaaaaron has done pretty much what I figured he'd do, if he was allowed to do it. I never expected a high scoring offense, and we don't have one. We have an efficient offense, and not one that came come from behind.

Seems with TomlinTeams, we have one side of the ball that is working while the other looks like they eat crayons and have lengthy discussions on what color the letter 7 tastes like. Which brings me to the albatross of this TomlinTeam - the defense.

Remember last year when they were saying ONE person was doing his own thing and we subsequently traded Minkah? Maybe Minkah wasn't the problem, and maybe Minkah was able to translate retardese into English well enough to get the defense to play better (afterall, he did play at Alabama. **** Berm)

It does seem to me that we need at least one astrophysicist on the field to get our droolers into place. Aaron is that on offense. Who is that on defense?

I think Cincy is the one win. Buffalo 6-2, 3rd in scoring, 9th in points allowed.

Well, it’s not Watt “I prefer to line up where I am” as he has shown little in Rocket physics.

It could be the newly signed and played on a day and a half of being b fought in. He playing pretty ****-ing well and maybe he is the one………………. Being not tomlinized can be the difference.

Cam showed his leadership hand by his hold out, but upped that message by bringing in fellow players to encourage his pay increase on his podcast aired from the practice field after practice.

Ben is retired, but he might have to come back as a team leadership consultant.

Ben should come back as OC if not HC!

Back at ya
I respect this assessment as well and truly do admire your optimism

Hopefully through continued improved play i can get back to this level of optimism and squash the doubt they have made a huge component of my Steelers fandom, I really miss that come game days

I truly miss the days when every week I felt a win was not only possible, but probable.

Let’s go kick some Harbaugh ***
