...but if you wanna give #7 another pass (for another subpar performance) and let him slide away from ridicule and blame then go ahead.

0 TDs and 2 INTs <------ vital stat that it is would suggest the outcome would be a loss. This was a 63 passer rating Ben had for this game. Folks, his previous low for the season was that Bengals game 7 weeks ago where his passer rating was a 57.

He never seemed comfortable or sharp all game and even the pick 6 that was reversed due to penalty was a poor throw(high and wide)

Now, im not putting this loss entirely on Ben, but we cant expect to do any damage if hes not playing sharp and he deserve a huge share of blame in this loss. Last season vs the Ravens in the playoffs he played poorly. To be outplayed by Ryan Mallet ? Inexcusable...........throwing into double coverage ? Unacceptable..............

Summary: we have no chance of winning with poor performances by our $100 million QB

All week this board is gonna gripe and complain about coaching and a 1st quarter decision (to go for 1 yard).........lack of preparation and losing to lesser opponents, but you had better recognize the major component in most of these losses and it centers around PROTECTING THE FOOTBALL. Ben didn't protect the football.

BTW, this was by far his worse game of the season....and what a time for it to come.

ben is way overrated at this point in his career he's been nothing but a choker for years and tomlin is a bad coach

Ben did suck, but this 1000th game like this under Tomlin where we play a **** team and Tomlin says I don't have to do anything to keep this teams heads in the game, well obviously he hasn't learned a damn thing!

Subpar is being generous. That was absolutely terrible. I thought Ravens created a new defensive scheme up with the way Ben had no idea what to do.

Ben was bad today. The whole offense was lackluster (maybe Williams aside). So was the Defense as a whole. But...

Tomlin opting to go for it on 4th on the first drive completely changed this game out of the gate. You ran the ball down their throat to start. Take the three and the statement! Losing possession on 4th down totally changed the momentum of that game, and they never found it again. You always take the points on the road! Especially against a division rival!!! That was a piss poor coaching decision, and it starts and ends with Tomlin!

The entire team has been allowed to assume this week would be a gimme.

Yep, Ben looked like hell, as did the defense, the receivers, the special teams, the coaches, the film crew, the hot dog vendors and the beer guy.

**** my local CBS affiliate went down today due to ice storms. Everyone took this ******* game for granted. That's what happens when you take the ******* Rats for granted. Hey, who posted the "Let's laugh at the Ravens" thread this week. Why not take that over to the Ravens board this afternoon. I'm sure they'll appreciate it.

Well played.

Yes, I'll blame Tomlin. I'll also blame Ben, and Haley, and the entire defensive (I shudder to call it a staff).

At the end of the day, we lost by 3 and Tomlin flat out CHOSE to give up 6 points. He had 2 FGs and that he didn't take. Who you gonna blame for that?

I think it was on both sides of the ball..

A complete team loss.

I do not think this team was prepared for this game, no matter how you spin it.

Away game you just don't give away points, especially in this series when you know these games are so close. The 3rd and 15 deep toss was another call that just doesn't make sense...if you can't get the 15 yards at least make it close to the first down.

I swear they all looked like they were sleep walking. Ben especially. It was embarrassing. They never looked the least bit interested until they were down by 10 points, both times. Then they woke up, briefly, and returned to their slumber. Too many turkey sammiches.

I will blame the coaches. The ****** team was unprepared and they threw darts at a board for a game plan. Their third down defense against an off the street QB was embarrassing. So yeah I will blame the ****** coach.

Baltimore know how to play Ben,, the first series we ran till we did not take the field goal. Tomlin should be smart enough as a head coach to see what Baltimore was doing and go the Ben and OC and take advantage of the defense being played. I truly do not believe Tomlin does this, Ben gets in trouble when trying to make a big play, but but but, Baltimore can play press on our receivers and they can't get the big play. Brown runs a route nothing happening and stops, does not come back to the ball. We were out coached by a team that was going to play inspired, we did not look inspired and Tomlin is the man in charge to do this. The talent Ben does have, we are wasting away.

Why are we using 2 Dlinemen most of the game? No wonder we couldn't stop the run or collapse the pocket.

Ben chokes away a lot. Of INTs lately

You can try to pin this on Ben if you want, and he did play a piss-poor game. But if we had a staff that could have put together a game plan to actually put some pressure on Mallet, he doesn't outplay Ben, no matter how bad Ben's day was. I mean, really? Mallet is on the Ravens for two goddamned weeks and comes out and is making throws all over the place? Sometimes standing in the pocket for what seemed like an eternity, while the secondary was out to lunch, letting receivers run underneath all day. That is horrible, horrible coaching, no ifs, ands, or butts about it!

The thing is... well COACHED teams can overcome those days where a star player has a bad day! The f'ing Patriots can have a damned MASH unit out there and still win. The Ravens can run out a bunch of people no one has ever heard of and make those guys look like world beaters against our starters. Why? Solid coaching staffs that know how to get the most out of the bodies on the field... something we do not do.

For example... if I'm a coach and I know that Ben is having an off day, while my RB is cutting up the Ravens for good yardage, why the HELL am I running a pass from the one yard line to begin with. Funny how, AFTER the pick that was negated by penalty, they finally figured that out and ran the damned ball.

Go ahead and make excuse and blame the one guy who is holding this sad-sack group of losers together all season and lets keep this incompetent coaching staff. Maybe we can cut our "100 million" quarterback, too, so we can finally sink to Browns-like levels. I guess if that's what it's going to take to make people realize how badly coached this team is...

Ben is big but he's not very smart. His decision making lately has been awful

Ben had a terrible game. The defense can't tackle. Tomlin always loses to Harbaugh. Tomlin sucks.

And who's job is that? Once again, Tomlin **** the bed when playing a bad team.

Boooooom!!!

If Ben was not our QB is Tomlin still our coach?

if he didn't have the defense he had for years would he be the coach? the defense has been what has led us the the good years more than big choker
