Big Ben

What is odd is that Ben the last few games has been a dunk and drunker averaging less than 10 yards a completion .

Not really odd when you consider the pass has also become the run. They are running very little in games now so you need a lot of short passes to keep the ball and chains moving.

Tough to go deep when the defense is keeping 2 safeties back. It was the blueprint to defeating us, since it worked for Seattle. Cincy and Denver also went with it. It shut down the deep ball, but now we're Brady Balling all over that defense. There is no stopping this offense. If Denver can't do it, no one can, and we're starting to see them play with some swagger now!

Ben had a brilliant performance yesterday less the mind numbing INT at the end. The first one was interference (or at the minimum holding which prevented) the receiver from breaking up the play. What I love about Ben is his gunslinger mentality, which can beat anyone or get you killed by anyone. He gives you a punchers chance and sometimes it ain't pretty, but it is usually thrilling. The line did what they could, but lets face it, they played tight man and sent one more than could be blocked on many occasions. Ben stood in the teeth of it and made some amazing throws. The two TDs to Brown were beauty. The first being the DB scouting that they like the pylon outcut and adjusting. The second looked like Montana to Taylor in the SB on the skinny post. Literally dropped into the hole as AB turned his head.

Denver very rarely kept 2 safeties deep. Predominantly played press man coverage with one deep safety...that's what they do.

And, I saw some idiot ask one of the talking heads on their Q&A if they should trade Ben this coming offseason. Some people just don't get it.

Hell there were people on here that waned to trade him a few years ago. They wanted to draft Teddy Bridgewater with the trade. Ben isn't perfect but he's still one of the best in the game.

Good. Then I expect a playoff win this year. When was the last time he won a playoff game?
He is a star and a damn good QB
But I was starting to think he lost his magic to just win. I have been looking for that game where he just takes over and wins it for us.
That was one yesterday.
He has had issues protecting the ball like bengals at home, Seattle, etc.
He is dialed in right now. Has all the weapons he can dream off. There is no excuse for us to not at least have a playoff win this year.
Gunslingers are fun to watch but sometimes they get shot. If he protects the football and plays heady football this team can go places.
I still think the defense is a year or two away but we have a good young nucleus for another ring before Ben retires. He doesn't need another to get in the hall but it would be a lock if he wins another.

That's not true. I just went back trying to find the story but I wasn't able to. None the less I read several quotes from the Steelers that they were forced to scrap their entire game plan because the Broncos went to a move traditional safety look. Presumably because Ward was out and he's predominantly a run stuffer.

Yep.. Markus Wheaton said they expected Broncos to play a single safety but they played mostly two safeties. Like you said, they had to change up their offensive strategy.
