Big Ben says he wasn't allowed to change the play on 4th and 1.

"Dave, Pounce, Im taking this between you, first noise, get me a foot. Rosie, If im not down, push my *** forward. Ready break."

I was able to type this in 20 seconds, Im sure Ben couldve called it, even if the terminology was new.

I say it in every thread about this, if Ben wanted to sneak the ball he'd do it. There are absolutely no consequences that he'd face if he went ahead and did it.

Yeah no kidding.

Must be some bad relationship with the coaches I guess

Yet 40 year old Brady sneaks the ball at will...

40 year old lady never took a beating like Ben did throughout his career.
I'd have to assume different reaction.

But I still agree. Ben can get those sneaks and a 1st

There's obviously a reason Tomlin doesn't want him to sneak. Ben ran 2 or 3 times Sunday but won't sneak, it's not his call, not sure why it's so hard to understand

How about "Hey guys the playcall on the headset sucked we are running a QB sneak"

How about "My headset quit working, here is what we are going to do" (Play 1 of EACH game)

If its not in the playbook, and the head coach doesn't allow it, then they don't practice it. How successful so you think that play would've been if Ben dropped it on the O-line in the huddle? How do they know how to block for it? This team was set up to fail by the HC, by not putting all the arrows in the quiver than he could.

It seems like it should be so easy. Spread it out 4 wide and Bell in the backfield. Ben makes the read to keep, hands-off, or hit a WR. They can't cover it all 4th and inches.

even if they don't have the terminology for a QB sneak in the ******* playbook and even if Ben isn't allowed to call it ... all 11 guys on the field, 22 on the other side of the LOS, 60,000+ watching from the stadium and millions via tv and internet knew the QB sneak was the proper call in both situations. Had Ben gotten crazy and said "guys, QB sneak on 2" I'm fairly ******* certain that the OL would have been able to push forward a yard or more without having to practice. Block the dude in front of you and push him back.

If its not in the playbook then they don't practice it so it could be a disaster.

Its a snap and go play with the OL getting low the QB picking the A or B gap. Ben was amazing at this play.

It comes down to Tomlin not wanting to allow it for some reason, not Ben not Haley, the damn HC that doesn't seem to be responsible for anything.

The reason is simple. So Ben doesn't hurt. You might not like that reason but that is the reason.

I'm not really questioning it and I don't want Ben taking a helmet shot, but at least give the damn reason, instead the QB and OC get bashed for 72 hours on the radio and social media.

The Odds of you getting hurt on a QB sneak has to be slim to none. Just another BS excuse.

The chances of getting hurt have to be higher by dropping back to pass than running a sneak. The ******* season is on the line anyway. Run the ******* thing.

I've never seen UGG boy LANCE Br*dy get hurt on a QB sneak but also realize the rules are different from Lance to Ben. I'm pretty sure our DTF QB could run two of these and NOT get hurt......................

Salute the nation

Neither Cowher or Tomlin would have won a SB without Ben.....plain and simple. Ben knows this. Everyone knows this. As dumb as the eggplant of a coach we have I blame Ben for not simply ignoring both Mike and Todd and just calling his play. When has a two time SB champ been so castrated on calling plays outside of Pittsburgh? It's odd. Ben should have said **** you I'm sneaking. Ben is the leader of the team. He should have called a sneak in the huddle. What were the coaches going to do? Put in Landry and then explain the reason I benched Ben was because he called his own play? Right. Ben has allowed the pussificaton as much as the coaches have dished it out

Oh come on now, DIC, you know that as soon as they run/ran a sneak the first thing that Ben is going to do as he's walking away from the pile is adjust his knee pad, or grab his ankle/shoe giving us all the impression that something happened.
