Big Ben needs 238 passing yards to reach 50,000 for his career

Anyone who thinks Troy Aikman is an all-time great is huffing ether

Because......................?

-------------------Comp----------Att----------Pct-------Yds-------Avg-----TD-----Int-------Sck------SckY------Rate

QB1-------------2,025----------3,901-------51.9-----27,989----7.2------212----210-----307------2,694-----70.9

QB2-------------2,898----------4,715-------61.5-----32,942-----7.0-----165-----141-----259------1,748-----81.6

Both QBs on awful teams to begin their careers.
Both QBs are surrounded by absolute studs, on both sides of the ball, during their primes.
Both QBs won multiple SBs.

Then i guess im huffing ether..Aikman was absolutely great IMO..one of the most accurate QB ive ever seen. The game after the lwoB repuS against us to open the year when they blew us out was ridiculous. Not basing it off one game of course but he put on a display.

Aikman was a very good player to me, not among the 10 best Qb's ever. He had the best OL in football and playmakers around him.

I dont remember calling him top ten. But your qualifications for why he wasnt great suck. Like i said big time arm talent

Yeah he was accurate and had a big arm, but he was a " deluxe game manager " type, who often took advantage of teams trying to stop Emmit Smith. Dallas won few games because Aikman out passed the other team by a wide margin.

Only threw for over 20 TD's once in his career. IMO, Farve, Young, Elway, and maybe Kelly were better QB's in the 1990's. Ben has already passed Aikman on the QB totem poll.

My post isnt comparing Aikman to any QBs just saying he was great himself. And if i had to win a game and ended up with him as my QB i would be good against any of them QBs you mentioned

I just hate the fact that argument A works FOR a player when you like said player and/or said player is on your favorite team.
But argument A works AGAINST a player when he's not on your favorite team.

Equal standards.
